Depression is a mental illness. It has nothing to do with greed or capitalism. Sufferers have enough prejudice to overcome without also being told that they are shallow and materialistic.
There isnt really proof there is God but there is proof about intelligent design. Everything has a beginning and an end. Sooner or later there was nothing before this world so someone or something had to put it there?
There isnt any point to argue about religion because people will get no where with it. I am a christian and theologian and some of us Christians are so ridiculous! Real Christians are kind, trust worthy and loving people. If they arent..then they probably aren't a Christian.
@BreakingNightPro "There is proof about intelligent design." No, there most certainly isn't. There might be some anecdotal evidence that kind of supports it, but that isn't the same thing as proof. D'you understand what "proof " actually means?
Intelligent design is barely even a theory, let a lone a respectable one. Someone took creationism and dressed it up as science so as to try and sneak it into the classroom. Thankfully, it didn't work.
@marquoth No there is proof. The very fact that there is a beginning and an end to something is proof. This world and universe did not form from nothing something put it there. if the most well known atheist(Richard Dawkins) can admit to it and you cant then your just being stubborn and blinding yourself with non-sense. Evolution has just as many holes if not more.
@BreakingNightPro Once again, I suggest you look up the meaning of "proof" as you plainly don't understand what it means. "There is some evidence for X" is not the same as "there is proof for X." There might be some evidence for intelligent design, but it is most certainly not proven.
Also, what's this crap about Richard Dawkins "admitting" someone put the universe here and that it didn't come from nothing? That's an absolute lie - he is fervently anti-creationist.
@marquoth Yes there is. Richard Dawkins admitted to it. Just go in the youtube search bar and search "Explelled Ben Stein and Richard Dawkins" A little history lesson for you kido.
@BreakingNightPro What he quite clearly says is that its vastly, vastly unlikely that life on this planet were "designed", and that even if it were possible that life on this planet arose through intelligent design then the designer itself must have come about by Darwinian evolution - not be a god - and that therefore all life in the universe ultimately owes its existence to evolution.
Your interpretation of this is that Dawkins supports intelligent design by god? That's colossally dumb.

@crapoadam scientology will soon implode. Avoid it. Its existence will soon ensure its destruction. Any shares in it will become worthless.. The vast sums it owes will be wiped out. Shareholders will get nothing
Hunter, you are so talented (I"ve watched your other videos). You need you own show - you'd be a huge star. Have you been on TV or in any movies. I saw you tonight on a rerun of Web Soup. You are hilarious!
The differences between Christianity and scientology are fundamental. Christianity is based on the belief that God's only son died to save mankind from sin. He died that we might be forgiven and enter God's Heavenly Kingdom. If you accept that, there is no charge. Just accept Christ as your Saviour.
scientology demands money and gives errm, I'd love to know. Any scientologist ready to explain what scientology actually does and how it benefits anyone except of course scientology.
@dirtychinchilla You proclaim that God does not exist. If you have proof of that please let us know. My belief in God is not unfounded, it is founded on His word revealed in the bible. I suggest you try reading it. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding. John Lennon once said that the beatles were more famous than Christ. Anyone else like to make that claim? Loudly and in public? God moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform. Had Lennon not made that blasphemous claim ---
@ronneesam I do realise the money is bad but you do realise you can't say a single thing POSITIVE for Christianity that you can't say for Scientology?
Not an attack on Christianity I just don't agree with the undue levels of pressure on Scientologists.
@conorsmurf there a cult who is trying to steal people's money and they have destroyed many lives... there are some Christians out there who can be accused of similar things but its not the purpose of the religion... Scientology is a sham from start to finish and it only ruins lives.
@conorsmurf I agree. The love of money and possessions does create stress and depression. So much in this world is free - birdsong, cloud formations, sunlight on landscapes, rain, the moon's rays in darkness. Free thought. Pressures on scientology are self imposed. scientology will ultimately self implode as will capitalism. It's starting.
@ronneesam There's little difference between the two. Entities created to amass power & wealth. Only real difference is that Scientology has not been responsible for countless murders and unfathomable amounts of torture and suffering, and Christianity has. You should know that the entire story of Christ is nothing but a re-make of a more ancient god called Mythra...who was born on 12/25 of a virgin mother, performed miracles, died, and rose 3 days later blah, blah, blah. Educate yourself.
@mobmusic76 There is a profound difference between scientology and Christianity. scientology has been responsible for deaths, torture and suffering. Christianity preaches love, humanity, kindness and fellowship. Of course there have been those driven by the devil to usurp those ideals in the mame of Christianity. You don't honestly believe in a god/ess called mythra with 1000 eyes and 100 ears but strangely only one nose (unable to smell fish presumably) Get someone silly enough to educate you
Mythra...who was born on 12/25 of a virgin mother, performed miracles, died, and rose 3 days later blah, blah, blah. Wikipedia does not seem to have the advantage of your erudition. Is blah blah blah a mythritic code for I talk bollocks! BTW " virgin" and mother" is tortology.
@ronneesam mobmusic76 indulges in amazing fantasies and should not be taken seriously. Her assertions that the story of Christ is a re-make of Mythra born 12/25 of virgin mother (sic) have no credibility save in her deranged mind. May God rest her soul and be gracious unto her.
@ronneesam read history and stop being such a baffoon. everything you write is imagined and made up in your feeble little brain, meanwhile, the truth eludes you.
@mobmusic76 Do you re-read what you write? Baffoon? Did you mean perhaps bassoon - easy mistake? Do you employ an illiterate to proof read? No need! You are self employed. As for your suggestion that I read history, my reply is that you should start reading - begging the question you can read - you might begin with the Bible
@wesselbindt Christianity does sound ridiculous. Resurrection from the dead. Miracles. Speak to someone on the other side of the world? Oops, that's not a miracle, thats fact. Fly! Fact. Walk on the moon Fact. Walk across the Red sea - miracle tsunami fact.. St. Peter, St Paul, St John et al die believing in the hereafter. How many will it take?
I love how Scientology is taken seriously, even though it was created by a science fiction writer who only created it as a means of not paying tax. Hmmm? Sounds Legit right?
@kaz3kag3gaara What!!! scientology has many books. All at a price! The bible is freely available in every church. Hotels (Not sure if the Gideon is New Testament only) Might be digging a hole here. Are scientology texts/books free?
Yeah, you can find them easily on the internet or a library near one of the churches. Not sure about inside the churches, but it costs money just to enter anyway so I would assume so.
The similarities between Christianity and Scientology are many, and the differences are few.
@ronneesam Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...seems legit...
@TeenWhisper The Lord Jesus Christ and his teachings offer you, teenwhisper , and everyone the way to eternal life. If you reject that, - and you are completely free to do so - it's your choice. BTW Jesus was descended from Ruth - a non Jew. I'm sure that your phrase "cosmic Jewish Zombie" was not intended to be pejorative or anti-semite. Being Christian is slightly more demanding than taking communion and praying.
@ronneesam dude, just saying: didn't the church demand money too? they controlled Europe for a long time and took advantage of all the people. now there is scientology crap. I guess most people 'need' religious shit.
Thucydides wrote an account of the Pelopenesian wars (Athens v Sparta). This is the only book we have. We believe it. Why? Thucydides was a respected Athenian Admiral, we have no reason to doubt his word and his words ring true. Ermm! Why do we doubt evidence given by many - Moses, David, Isiaiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, James etc. These are respected people, we have no reason to doubt their words which ring true.
Wrong. The bible is not just any other book. It is God's word written down. You deny that at your peril. You are not the only unbeliever - Darwin had doubts and might have had problems explaining e,g. the whale's nipple , archer fish, husky dogs' legs (arteries are wrapped round veins to warm blood on its flow back to the heart - surely the best way of surviving Arctic temperatures would have been to run south!.May the peace of God be with you.
hahahaha :DDDD great. im from belgium whent there yesterday. they allmost promise you that you can become a demi god. the inventor died from heartstroke... at normal age. so... they can keep there junk.
Scientology is a Cancer of this planet. LRH should never have existed. And all you dumd fucks how give money to this stupid cult well, I think you should die. Thank you
@Ozgarthefighter Does swearing offend you? I'm sorry, Booster! Go wash the sand out of your vagina and come right back, sugar tits. I'll be less crass in the future.
@ronneesam Speaking as a firm believer in the religion of Darwinism ( rock on evolution :D) I don't particularly believe in any religion, but if I did I think I would just become a heathen listening to the utter rubbish you are sprouting. Take a deep breath and acknowledge that the bible is like any other book.... INACCURATE. The men who wrote it were just that, men not Gods. No proof can be found in the bible, whether Jesus was devine or not . Beliefs and beliefs, enjoy yours QUIETLY :)
@ariane727 You firmly believe in Darwinism yet in the same breath say that all books are inaccurate!!! Hello!! "Evolution of Species" etc by Darwin are books and so according to you are inaccurate. Are you saying that Darwin wrote inaccurate books? I totally agree with you. They contain too many inexplicable theories - Darwin later acknowledged this. The Bible contains testaments from many people, not just one but all of whom were inspired by God. BTW heathen means unenlightened (OED)
@ariane727"Speaking as a firm believer in the religion of Darwenism." Your words. "I don't particularly believe in any religion" You don't believe in Darwenism then! Being kind, you are equivocal in your beliefs or perhaps nuttier than a squirrel's arse. The Bible is God's word written by men inspired by God. Accept it or not. Your choice. No one asks you to believe just as no one forces you to believe Darwenism.
@ronneesam The fact I did not respond to your idiotic comment before has obviously led to you needing to re-iterate the bullshit that is coming out of your mouth so I'll humour you. Referring back to your earlier comment....Evolution is not a religion! Are you an idiot? Sense the tone...I was clearly joking when I said I believed in the "religion of Darwenism!" Evolution is a scientific theory that has been damn near proved accurate (or as close to proved as you can get in science)
@ronneesam You need a life, mate. And yes the Origin of the species is riddled with inaccuracies...I'm not deluding myself that everything Darwin claimed was accurate. Quite unlike yourself with the bible.....which, if you bothered to use whatever brain cells you were born with, you would see that every testament within the bible is differed to suit the writers own agenda.
@ronneesam Also, a heathen is also someone who differs from a set religion amongst their people...if you’re going to insult my intelligence then at least research before you do. People are entitled to their views and instead of accepting that you are commenting on everyone who goes against your beliefs...you are spectacularly narrow-minded. Rant over.
The test is bullshit The guy Who wrote it for Hubbard was decleared a SP and kicked out of the Church but for what ever reason they still use it. It's really good and making people think they really need help when the don't.
Open comments. You avoid saying how many of your friends and how seriously they are stressed and by what. My belief is that there is a church closeby which can help. Belief in the Lord Jesus can cure everything - raising from the dead (Jairus's daughter et al) blind man, cripple at the spring. But there is also the healing of the spirit. Yes all bodies die but what of the spirit?
Wanderers. Thanks for the informed comment. Of course the choice is yours. A Christian's work is to make available Christ's word. With some people it does take a tin of shot to fall on them. BTW 'tin of shot' is a Spoonerism! Much like ducking fickhead, windless manker and shiece of pit.
@ronneesam By the way, 'tin of shot' is not a spoonerism, the others you cite are; but 'tin of shot' is in no way a spoonerism. shin of tot? sin of thot? idiot.
@ronneesam What does 'sin of thot' mean though? Spoonerism is not simply transposing the initial letter of each word, but the initial sound; you really are getting stupider with each post.
@WonderersWay Have you not heard of Thot? He ruled the kingdom of Wonder. This was once a mighty kingdom full of demons and sweet maidens. Alas Thot sinned by being too pretentious by half and ignored the demons who ate up the maidens. Hence the sin ot Thot. Apologies for not writing 'thot' in upper case. Look forward to examples of your increasing mis-management of the English language begging the question that you have any management of the English language.
@bizzywizzy321123 Did they have sex with him? Do tell. scientocrap are so desperate I'd not be surprised. Not saying your father isn't a George Clooney look-a-like.
One way to deal with Scientologists who offer a free personality test
"No thanks, I already know I have a low tolerance for cult scams and it triggers my homicidal tendencies. Have a nice day"...... as you forcefully smile and you develop a facial twitch that implies you're a whole heap of crazy they wouldn't want to mess with.
@ImJustFelix Scientology isn't evil just incredibly crass, demented, insane, cretinously ignorant, paranoid, woefully stupid, disastrously close to implosion, altzeimer ridden and supervised by dolts whose combined brain cells would total -100.
Scientology is a bait-and-switch scheme, and bait-and-switch is the purpose of the claims that Scientology is compatible with all other religions. A devout member of another religion is assured that joining Scientology does not mean giving up his or her previous religion. People are not told upon joining about the filing Scientology made to the IRS where they admit that members are expected to give up other religion practices when they join Scientology.
@OpenComments All religion is as crap as the next. Bait and switch? Every heard of 'being saved' by saved? Most religions will say you are heading down the wrong path and need to be saved, to lure you into the sector.
In Scientology, the 'bait' is the free stress test, personality test, and being promised you can better your life with Scientology which would increase your communication skills, IQ, and make you a better person. Later on, after you have paid enough money, you are introduced to a belief system based on dead alien souls and exploding volcanoes - AND you aren't allowed to talk about it.
Most other religions are upfront about their belief system - not Scientology. This is the b&s.
@OpenComments The really sad thing is that many people feel stressed. Opening your life to Christ frees you from stress. He took upon Himself all your burdens. 'Ask and it shall be given unto you' 'Only believe'. Ah, there's the rub, There has to be belief, faith and acceptance. That's not easy. It involves looking outwards, forgetting self, looking to the needs of others, offering help to the struggling. and yes I'm the last to do these things but I try to do them.
Don't you see that you are doing the exact same thing Scientology does? Making false promises. I have Christian friends that feel stress all the time - and here you are, preaching that opening your life to Christ frees you from stress?
Sorry, but replacing one religion with another is not the issue here. The Church of Scientology engages in acts of separating families, harassing critics, fraud, extortion, blackmail. Religion is free - Scientology is neither.
@OpenComments I'm sorry your Christian friends feel stress all the time. Have they truly accepted Christ as their Saviour or enduring stress alone? My church offers fellowship, friendship and help to anyone who asks. If any in the congregation is stressed in any way, they have access to help free at source! Interesting that you fall into the trap of accepting scientology as a religion. scientology is a cult, rejected by most countries as a cult and not eligible for tax relief.
Let me correct you right now - I don't consider Scientology a religion, and I do consider it as a cult, a cult as defined by FACTNET (cults have certain characteristics that religions do not). I was mainly refuting your original claim that you can get rid of your stress by accepting Christ into your life. These are the types of promises Scientology makes, and it's wrong of you to make such a bold statement in the name of Christianity.
@OpenComments Mea culpa. Many apologies. I do however reiterate Christ can cure all ills. I shy away from His abilities in awe. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Do you not see that a Saviour, almighty is omnipotent oops tortology. Healing takes different forms. We have no way of knowing how many souls our Lord saved whilst here on earth. We do know that all have His assurance of eternal life singing his praise in His house
As long as you don't make claims that opening your heart to Christ will free you from stress, I'm fine. To imply that Christians who feel stress have not fully let Christ into their lives is an offensive concept. That's all I was refuting - not everything else you're saying.
@OpenComments It's not the same thing scientololgy does. Christianity opens the way to salvation. A way to a wonderful life. A life everlasting, perfect, beautiful. And it's available to all. No charge! Do it in the privacy of your own home. Accept The Lord Jesus. Pray to Him. Accept Him. He died for you that you might live in God's Heaven. You might like to read God's word. That too is free. Any church has bibles free for you to read, libraries also.
Then say Christianity opens the way to salvation. Don't say that opening your heart to Christ will free your life from stress, because I have friends who are Christians that still feel stress. To imply that they have not opened their hearts entirely to Christ can be construed as offensive to them. That's all I am refuting. I don't confirm or deny everything else you said; just refuting you on that point alone.
@OpenComments I'd also add that I am freely spiritual meaning I decide myself what is true for me and I live a 95% stress free life, does this mean I am a 95% christian and don't even know it?
@formston Proof is in the bible. Intellectuals like yourself have tried to disprove God's word and finished up entirely convinced that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. Look at Matthew 28 v12-13. "And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they (chief priests and elders) gave money unto the soldiers (guarding the tomb) . Saying "Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him while we slept". If the soldiers were asleep, how could they know?
It's called faith for a reason. If you're trying to justify yourself believing in God because there is "proof", then I question your faith in God. Protip: Faith doesn't need proof. It's your beliefs. To say that the proof is in the Bible, you make it sound like if there was no Bible, there is no God.
Watching you justify God's existence with proof ... is this your faith in God?
@OpenComments There is God. There is proof. Fact. No need for faith.Faith means strong belief . No need for belief however strong. God is fact. Accept fact or perish. It's your life. Live it your way. Your choice. Life is full of risk. May God bless you.
There's a difference between faith and religious faith. An example of you saying there is a God and that there is proof without saying what the proof is, is _precisely_ that sort of faith. I acknowledge your faith in God, but don't call it proof, because faith doesn't need proof.
And you are still justifying God's existence with proof.
In other news, Scientology is a dangerous cult that masquerades itself as a religion.
@ronneesam I'd look up "proof" in a dictionary, if I were you, as you clearly have no idea what it means. Having faith is fine, believing in fine, but asserting that there is incontrovertable proof is either dishonest or delusional. Unless you've stumbled upon something the other six billion people on the planet have missed?
@Isundir Where do you get the idea that God wants only 10% of what you make? God wants you 100% - not your money/house/possessions. They have no value. God has no bank account. You truly possess nothing in this world. We like to think we own things but we may be in grave danger of being possessed by inanimate objects. Christianity is open and free to all. Yes, 10% of your disposable income is welcome but is in no way obligatory. Christ asks only that you accept Him and believe. Simple!
@WonderersWay Which religions do you mean. Be specific! Christianity offers eternal salvation. At no cost. Christ has already paid the price for your sins. All you have to do is accept Him as your Saviour No charge. Your salvation is guaranteed.
And BTW you have to opt out if you don't accept Him> See, your'e knackered whatever you decide!
You look and sound a lot like Michael J. Fox! Holy crap! And gret vid haha. Makes me wanna take that test and laugh in their faces.

@ronneesam your belief in god is also unfounded. He doesn't exist, get over it.

@dirtychinchilla hahahahaha
QuilEkras 1 year ago

Not an attack on Christianity I just don't agree with the undue levels of pressure on Scientologists.
conorsmurf 11 months ago
@conorsmurf there a cult who is trying to steal people's money and they have destroyed many lives... there are some Christians out there who can be accused of similar things but its not the purpose of the religion... Scientology is a sham from start to finish and it only ruins lives.
runnerpucci 10 months ago
@conorsmurf I agree. The love of money and possessions does create stress and depression. So much in this world is free - birdsong, cloud formations, sunlight on landscapes, rain, the moon's rays in darkness. Free thought. Pressures on scientology are self imposed. scientology will ultimately self implode as will capitalism. It's starting.
ronneesam 6 months ago
@ronneesam There's little difference between the two. Entities created to amass power & wealth. Only real difference is that Scientology has not been responsible for countless murders and unfathomable amounts of torture and suffering, and Christianity has. You should know that the entire story of Christ is nothing but a re-make of a more ancient god called Mythra...who was born on 12/25 of a virgin mother, performed miracles, died, and rose 3 days later blah, blah, blah. Educate yourself.
mobmusic76 11 months ago
@mobmusic76 There is a profound difference between scientology and Christianity. scientology has been responsible for deaths, torture and suffering. Christianity preaches love, humanity, kindness and fellowship. Of course there have been those driven by the devil to usurp those ideals in the mame of Christianity. You don't honestly believe in a god/ess called mythra with 1000 eyes and 100 ears but strangely only one nose (unable to smell fish presumably) Get someone silly enough to educate you
ronneesam 8 months ago
Mythra...who was born on 12/25 of a virgin mother, performed miracles, died, and rose 3 days later blah, blah, blah. Wikipedia does not seem to have the advantage of your erudition. Is blah blah blah a mythritic code for I talk bollocks! BTW " virgin" and mother" is tortology.
ronneesam 8 months ago
@ronneesam mobmusic76 indulges in amazing fantasies and should not be taken seriously. Her assertions that the story of Christ is a re-make of Mythra born 12/25 of virgin mother (sic) have no credibility save in her deranged mind. May God rest her soul and be gracious unto her.

@ronneesam read history and stop being such a baffoon. everything you write is imagined and made up in your feeble little brain, meanwhile, the truth eludes you.
mobmusic76 6 months ago
@mobmusic76 Do you re-read what you write? Baffoon? Did you mean perhaps bassoon - easy mistake? Do you employ an illiterate to proof read? No need! You are self employed. As for your suggestion that I read history, my reply is that you should start reading - begging the question you can read - you might begin with the Bible

ronneesam 6 months ago
@ronneesam
Yeah, you can find them easily on the internet or a library near one of the churches. Not sure about inside the churches, but it costs money just to enter anyway so I would assume so.
The similarities between Christianity and Scientology are many, and the differences are few.
kaz3kag3gaara 6 months ago
@ronneesam Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...seems legit...
TeenWhisper 6 months ago
@TeenWhisper The Lord Jesus Christ and his teachings offer you, teenwhisper , and everyone the way to eternal life. If you reject that, - and you are completely free to do so - it's your choice. BTW Jesus was descended from Ruth - a non Jew. I'm sure that your phrase "cosmic Jewish Zombie" was not intended to be pejorative or anti-semite. Being Christian is slightly more demanding than taking communion and praying.

These are respected people, we have no reason to doubt their words which ring true.
ronneesam 1 year ago

Beliefs and beliefs, enjoy yours QUIETLY :)
ariane727 1 year ago
@ariane727 You firmly believe in Darwinism yet in the same breath say that all books are inaccurate!!! Hello!! "Evolution of Species" etc by Darwin are books and so according to you are inaccurate. Are you saying that Darwin wrote inaccurate books? I totally agree with you. They contain too many inexplicable theories - Darwin later acknowledged this. The Bible contains testaments from many people, not just one but all of whom were inspired by God. BTW heathen means unenlightened (OED)
ronneesam 8 months ago
@ariane727"Speaking as a firm believer in the religion of Darwenism." Your words. "I don't particularly believe in any religion" You don't believe in Darwenism then! Being kind, you are equivocal in your beliefs or perhaps nuttier than a squirrel's arse. The Bible is God's word written by men inspired by God. Accept it or not. Your choice. No one asks you to believe just as no one forces you to believe Darwenism.
ronneesam 6 months ago
@ronneesam The fact I did not respond to your idiotic comment before has obviously led to you needing to re-iterate the bullshit that is coming out of your mouth so I'll humour you. Referring back to your earlier comment....Evolution is not a religion! Are you an idiot? Sense the tone...I was clearly joking when I said I believed in the "religion of Darwenism!" Evolution is a scientific theory that has been damn near proved accurate (or as close to proved as you can get in science)
ariane727 5 months ago
@ronneesam You need a life, mate. And yes the Origin of the species is riddled with inaccuracies...I'm not deluding myself that everything Darwin claimed was accurate. Quite unlike yourself with the bible.....which, if you bothered to use whatever brain cells you were born with, you would see that every testament within the bible is differed to suit the writers own agenda.
ariane727 5 months ago
@ronneesam Also, a heathen is also someone who differs from a set religion amongst their people...if you’re going to insult my intelligence then at least research before you do. People are entitled to their views and instead of accepting that you are commenting on everyone who goes against your beliefs...you are spectacularly narrow-minded. Rant over.

Belief in the Lord Jesus can cure everything - raising from the dead (Jairus's daughter et al) blind man, cripple at the spring. But there is also the healing of the spirit. Yes all bodies die but what of the spirit?
ronneesam 1 year ago

Scientology is a bait-and-switch scheme, and bait-and-switch is the purpose of the claims that Scientology is compatible with all other religions. A devout member of another religion is assured that joining Scientology does not mean giving up his or her previous religion. People are not told upon joining about the filing Scientology made to the IRS where they admit that members are expected to give up other religion practices when they join Scientology.
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments All religion is as crap as the next. Bait and switch? Every heard of 'being saved' by saved? Most religions will say you are heading down the wrong path and need to be saved, to lure you into the sector.
WonderersWay 1 year ago
@WonderersWay
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments The really sad thing is that many people feel stressed. Opening your life to Christ frees you from stress. He took upon Himself all your burdens. 'Ask and it shall be given unto you' 'Only believe'. Ah, there's the rub, There has to be belief, faith and acceptance. That's not easy. It involves looking outwards, forgetting self, looking to the needs of others, offering help to the struggling. and yes I'm the last to do these things but I try to do them.
ronneesam 1 year ago
@ronneesam
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments I'm sorry your Christian friends feel stress all the time. Have they truly accepted Christ as their Saviour or enduring stress alone? My church offers fellowship, friendship and help to anyone who asks. If any in the congregation is stressed in any way, they have access to help free at source! Interesting that you fall into the trap of accepting scientology as a religion. scientology is a cult, rejected by most countries as a cult and not eligible for tax relief.
ronneesam 1 year ago
@ronneesam
I need no education on Scientology.
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments Mea culpa. Many apologies. I do however reiterate Christ can cure all ills. I shy away from His abilities in awe. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Do you not see that a Saviour, almighty is omnipotent oops tortology. Healing takes different forms. We have no way of knowing how many souls our Lord saved whilst here on earth. We do know that all have His assurance of eternal life singing his praise in His house
ronneesam 1 year ago
@ronneesam
As long as you don't make claims that opening your heart to Christ will free you from stress, I'm fine. To imply that Christians who feel stress have not fully let Christ into their lives is an offensive concept. That's all I was refuting - not everything else you're saying.
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments It's not the same thing scientololgy does. Christianity opens the way to salvation. A way to a wonderful life. A life everlasting, perfect, beautiful. And it's available to all. No charge! Do it in the privacy of your own home. Accept The Lord Jesus. Pray to Him. Accept Him. He died for you that you might live in God's Heaven. You might like to read God's word. That too is free. Any church has bibles free for you to read, libraries also.
ronneesam 1 year ago
@ronneesam
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments I'd also add that I am freely spiritual meaning I decide myself what is true for me and I live a 95% stress free life, does this mean I am a 95% christian and don't even know it?

Prove it!
If you cant keep your mouth shut
formston 1 year ago
@formston Proof is in the bible. Intellectuals like yourself have tried to disprove God's word and finished up entirely convinced that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. Look at Matthew 28 v12-13. "And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they (chief priests and elders) gave money unto the soldiers (guarding the tomb) . Saying "Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him while we slept". If the soldiers were asleep, how could they know?
ronneesam 1 year ago
@ronneesam
OpenComments 1 year ago
@OpenComments There is God. There is proof. Fact. No need for faith.Faith means strong belief . No need for belief however strong. God is fact. Accept fact or perish. It's your life. Live it your way. Your choice. Life is full of risk. May God bless you.
ronneesam 6 months ago
@ronneesam
OpenComments 6 months ago
@ronneesam I'd look up "proof" in a dictionary, if I were you, as you clearly have no idea what it means. Having faith is fine, believing in fine, but asserting that there is incontrovertable proof is either dishonest or delusional. Unless you've stumbled upon something the other six billion people on the planet have missed?
marquoth 5 months ago
@ronneesam Yes god only wants 10% of everything you make...
The differences between Christianity and Scientology are minor at best.
Isundir 1 year ago
@Isundir Where do you get the idea that God wants only 10% of what you make? God wants you 100% - not your money/house/possessions. They have no value. God has no bank account. You truly possess nothing in this world. We like to think we own things but we may be in grave danger of being possessed by inanimate objects. Christianity is open and free to all. Yes, 10% of your disposable income is welcome but is in no way obligatory. Christ asks only that you accept Him and believe. Simple!
ronneesam 8 months ago
@WonderersWay Which religions do you mean. Be specific! Christianity offers eternal salvation. At no cost. Christ has already paid the price for your sins. All you have to do is accept Him as your Saviour No charge. Your salvation is guaranteed.
And BTW you have to opt out if you don't accept Him> See, your'e knackered whatever you decide!
