  • Justin: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • I just came.

  • I don't get this though, I've played street fighter before. But all I do is spam and all....

  • .... Holy shit. That is all. I have seen this video like 20 times and it still is freaking insane.

  • Sorry, I am a casual gamer so I'm not sure i got it... is everyone orgasming because Ken blocked Chun li's kicks by using attacks? How can it be? Shouldn't it be a mutual hit instead? Can any expert gamer expain me?

  • @calogeroaiello Daigo (Ken) blocked Justin Wong's (Chun-Li) kicks with parrying, which negates damage. To parry in SF3, you need to press forward instead of the traditional holding backwards to normally block. You can't hold forward to parry, however: the timing of each parry has to precisely match the incoming attacks. To pull this off under the pressure of a sliver of remaining health, Chun-li's rapid kicks, and a tense tournament setting is nothing short of breathtaking.

  • @calogeroaiello Capcom has even gone to the effort of memorializing it in a Parry Trial for the recently released SF3: Third Strike Online Edition and used it again in similar fashion in a recent trailer for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3's "Heroes vs Heralds" DLC. While Capcom seems to be milking it more often nowadays, this moment is easily the most recognizable moment in fighting game/tournament history.

  • @Vercsase

Cool! Thank you for explaining, I didn't know about this new feature

  • Haha classic shit

  • in the span of less than a minute i experienced the whole movie going experience: i was introduced to the characters, presented a problem, brought to root for the hero, and get an unbelievable finale

  • I've seen this so many times and it never stops being amazing.

  • doesnt matter if they are talking because of cracked... this video is awesome!

  • Goddamn this was so sick! I managed to cheer along with the people in the video and not feel like a loser.

  • @escruzive this video was recently linked in a Cracked.com article, so it makes sense that people are talking about Cracked...

  • That was wild.

  • CRACKED.COM

  • One of the single greatest moments of human history

  • i dont know much about fighting games, but i know that was FUCKING AWESOME, o yes

  • Ears were bleeding. Women got pregnant. - Perfect

  • @elpibegustavo Apparently when this was posted years ago i read the comment you had to block each and every strike from Chun Li's kicks to completely parry that move. So the guy playing Ken had absolutely perfect timing.

  • @elpibegustavo lol basically what happened was Chun Li "the girl" used a combo which in any other game is either unblockable or completely blockable by holding a button. Except because SFTS is an incredible game the move is blockable but only with a complete parry which meant ken "the guy" had to excecute blocks at exactly the right time in order to block a combo that would have killed him and counter it into a winning combo

  • @toxin689 Wha?

  • @elpibegustavo at 0:21 Justin "the girl" got Daigo "the guy" to the end of his life bar, which meant one more unblocked hit was enough to kill him.

Justin spent 0:21 to 0:26 punching/kicking the air to build up his special bar to use the girl's super.

At 0:26 Justin unleashed Chun Li's super which, unlike normal hits, will still do chip damage (tiny amounts of damage, but still enough to kill Daigo) even if blocked.

The only way to fully negate damage is to use the game's parry system.

  • @elpibegustavo (cont)

Parrying requires you to exactly time the moment you're about to be hit and requires immense amounts of skill to pull off.

So basically, Justin had Daigo in a corner and used to most logical, 99% foolproof way of finishing Daigo off. Daigo responded with an amazing 15 consecutive parries, followed by his own combo, to his own super, which turned the battle completely around and won the match. It was utter madness. Ears were bleeding. Women got pregnant.

  • I'm just a occasional SF player, but don't you need a few secs to charge up your parries or was that tweaked from the previous editions?

  • @nccodyssey a parry in 3rd Strike was just push forward when they attacked

  • Original video: /watch?v=pS5peqApgUA

  • I got chills when the croud started cheering. That was amazing!

  • Anyway, this video was posted 5 years ago and NOW you are talking about craked.com?

  • @escruzive Because they just made an article that linked to the video. Mystery solved.

  • @escruzive I watched this video before Cracked. I'm a better person I guess.

  • @WxWmartinWxW LOL

  • @escruzive Because the article was just made? Derp

  • @escruzive what's wrong with another website giving a video more traffic? If anything, it benefits the original poster.

  • I knew about this before it was cool on Cracked.....

  • "You had to be there............and not had even the slightest bit of a life."

    TY cracked.com

  • Sadly, I'm clueless when it comes to Street Fighter games. Could someone comment why this fight was unique?

  • @AntiProtonBoy every single hit of Chun-Li's combo was parried. that's incredibly difficult to do; you need to have perfect timing to do that

  • @AntiProtonBoy You see when he was basically reflecting that super attack? He had to time each of those parries PERFECTLY which is damn near impossible to do.

  • I saw this LONG before cracked.com. But damn, it's always awesome to see it.

  • I'd shut up about cracked and enjoy the video more if youtube didn't have videos load so selectively. Why does it need to buffer on part that's already loaded?

  • Holy. Shit.

  • Shut the fuck about cracked and just enjoy the video.

  • Who's here from cracked.com?

  • GGGGGGOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!

  • I'm a Tekken man, but this was... Sploosh.

  • More epic than blowing up the Death Star. For sure.

  • Nerd roar, indeed!

  • @Sipmoyin Are you kidding? Parrying made 3S the most aggressive SF ever.

  • i don't play street fighter but i can tell how awesome this is.

  • geekgasm.

  • UNBELIEVABLE, I parry by mistake, how do you do that. I need to learn so I can beat the "Parrying" bonus round.

  • the oposite button to block but press it the second they attack

  • holy shit its one thing to actually be able to parry all those hits but in the middle of a tournament is just incredible. i wish i was this good :(

  • Guh... *jaw drops* WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? How do they DO this?

  • It's pretty easy (for them at least).

The cool thing about this particular sequence is the timing.

  • Too bad I don't have timing skills like that... *sigh*

  • I am ashamed to say I have never honestly played a street fighter game more than maybe once or twice at an arcade, but I know how epic this is.

Letting any of those kicks hit him would have killed him, and he blocked them all, and came back all the way!

  • @FoxtrotNinja Not only did he parry all the hits but he if he missed A SINGLE parry, he would have died of chip damage.(the slight damage you get when regular blocking attacks)Because when you parry you don't lose ANY damage like on a regular block.

  • how the heck did he do dat? ... parrying? .. i havent played streetfighter 3 ... dats NUTSSSS

  • What street fighter is it?

  • 3rd Strike.

  • i've actaully done that once, its really really hard, but to actully do it in a competition thats just still amazing

  • nitrork (4 weeks ago)

OMG THAT GAVE ME AN ORGASM!!!!

    HAUHuahuahuahuHAahuaha

    PsycsX (4 weeks ago)

yeah dude ! me too i watch this video every time

  • I've seen this clip alot, it's AMAZING!

  • OMG THAT GAVE ME AN ORGASM!!!!

  • omg ! congratz to this guy !

  • Yeah, it's a parry sequence and it's indeed awesome, but i think that move forced you to play only in a deffensive way in that game, i prefer the Alpha saga

  • Yeah okay see you at evo not playing.
