Any one been to bell mtn by the wall mart district idk lmao up the free way my dad about 4 or 5 years ago shattered 1 foot broke other broke knee caps and colar all on same jump same time
and this whole thing about paying to go to el mirage is totally backfiring on them, For labor day weekend. There was NO ONE there. its usually packed.
wow. that sucks.. glad ur gonna keep riding though, most ppl after a crash like that wouldn't.. i know what u mean on the bushes though, when i was a bit younger i tried riding over one, lol was going a bit slower though, and completely high centered my bike. couldn't get it off.. sucked soo bad. new riders seem to break bikes though, took my friend out last weekend, who had only been riding once before.. he was afraid to shift. and blew out the gears, now i have to rebuild the motor.. :(
I ride there alot, lots of fun. the further away u get from the lake the harder the riding gets :) but its really f***ing gay that BLM is making us pay to go there now.... since when do we have to pay to use the desert????
everyone I know thats been seriously injured riding, my self included its been at el mirage, all my friends have said they WONT go back to el mirage anymore after my accident
yea, in my cases, im not sure about you, the only time ive seen ppl get seriously injured is on the dry lake itself, as people can go too fast for their skill level. i took my friend out for the first time, he went too fast and freaked out, almost drove into the back of my truck in 4th gear. but it still a great place for advance riders and beginner riders, bogus they make u pay to use it. what happened in your accident?
my accident actually happened at night, and I dont remember it, but the nearest we can figure is the brush with that rough crap in the middle got me and flipped my bike end over end, I shattered my left ankle, broke my right ankle, broke my femur broke my pelvis in like 3 places broke 3 vertebra broke almost every rib and dislocated my shoulder (again, first time was on a dirt bike too) the speed never bothered me, earlier in the day we were running 5th gear on the rev limiter
with a GPS in hand to see the top speeds on the bikes. Ive only been riding about 2 years till my accident (march 29th 2009) but have many miles tallied up on my bike, just got the point where I could start taking my bike apart to fix it to go riding again so that'll probably happen in the next few weeks so when I get the green light to go back to work I can go riding
