  • The Family Computer version looks interesting. I have played US version of this game. I am interested in seeing in how the games are in different game system.

  • 4:59 EPIC SOUND!

  • 4:56 EPIC SOUND!

  • Is it me, or does this battle theme sound strikingly similar to the mini boss theme in the minish cap?

  • for some reason i can't get past the change side b screen

  • ahh.... I wanna play it again...

prefer the music of the nes version though.

  • When it says kill mode...is that a mode where you delete files?

  • @TheTenjin666 that's not a nes he's playing

  • Hey just got i famicom and im getting this game too ^_^

  • Really the only thing I like about the Famicom version is the animated water in the overworld and the boss explosion sound effect. Everything from the music, to the dungeon colors, game over screen, extra boss (better animated dragon boss) and other sound effects is much better in the NES version.

  • @Ohsoroful Plus that "roar" gets quite annoying after awhile.

  • Tryforce?

  • This game came in the mail yesterday (together with SMB2 (Lost Levels) and Doki Doki Panic, all on FDS), and gotta say that I really enjoy this game more than many recent releases :P

    Cool video, 5*

  • Disvalley... i kinda like that name

  • Change Side B

  • This is comfortable for people learning Japanese, they can read everything in Katakana.

  • i think u mean katana? LOL japanese sword wtf

  • are you serious? if you are you are one dumb fucking bitch.

  • @MrPrototypz *facepalm*

  • @MrPrototypz

He meant Katakana, as in the second set of Japanese lettering that's used mostly for foreign phrases and words. It's also simplified Japanese, so it's easier to read, write and understand than traditional/Hiragana Japanese.

  • Im mad they switch the overworld music for the u.s. version. I remember playing this when I was little and every time I would lose all my life I would be scared because the flashing of the screen, I think I would've been more scared if I played the japanese version because the different noise during the flashing of the screen.

  • Anyone who thinks this game is bad in the U.S. NEEDS to see this version in Japan.

  • Huh why need a desk system?

the famicom is better as it was it looks like its on life support from that huge piece of junk:p

    NES FOR THE WIN!!!

  • man, why couldn't the US NES have the fm synthesis chip!

  • Wow, that is way different. :O

  • And loading times really suck.

  • at least the village, the music sounds somewhat like the NES version.

  • intro is bull

  • W A I T

  • FAMICOM version is better

  • Hahaha, the intro text is so full of gramatical errors, I love it!

  • NES version was better.

Isn't the enemy/cave music the song that plays when you fight dark link?

  • dude i plaied this game at the age of 6 thx for posting it this was a great game :)

  • I couldn't find the mirror finding scene. I want to read the FDS version's text so I could find out if "I found a mirror under the table" was actually a mistranslation or not.

  • lol, tryforce.

  • does anyone know how to play this on pc?

  • what the crap kind of ending... Return of Gannon?

  • I am thinking "Where is the lovibly scary pig with that laugh that scares the crap out of the kids?!!"

  • Have you noticed that the text is a bit different from the american version ?

  • Aaaa the memories. I was just playing this. Gotta love old school games.

  • This version was a lot more bland. Especially the lack of color in dungeons

  • I love the sounds on the Famicom version!

  • Same here, I actually played the Famicom version on my PC, took so long to get. But gave up, its f*ing hard.

  • I'm jealous of how good the sound is... :-(

  • The music is still far better in our version.

And the sounds that appear every time you face a boss...urg terrible...

  • @ken131 agreed, I wish someone would inject the English script into the FDS rom. That way I could play the superior sounding FDS game instead.

  • @shadesofbluee

Better yet, Inject the sounds from the Famicom version in the US Rom so you can play the superior graphical version with the superior sounding of the FDS version.

  • @irregularzero That would be nice, but it wouldn't work because none of the emulators would recognize the FM-Synthesis channel being used on a non FDS rom.

  • Great video I allways liked the Famicom Disk System sound effects some of them just sound wierd the Ganon sound effect just sounds freaking wierd

  • I love the sound effects and music on the Famicom version! But the NES has slightly better graphics, at least in some places (for example, the palaces are more colorful).

  • Wow, that's totally different from the NES one.

That Game Over sound is just... scary. Dx

  • when i was a kid, Ganon's silhouette gave me nightmares

  • Really? I thought that was like... awesome. With the evil laugh it just made him seem evil, but not scary evil.

  • Me too.

  • cool!
