I'll agree that the law suit is sigh not the best of PR stunts out there, but come on! The clowns of Top Gear do not present the idea of the electric car in a very objective way.

If you're going to show the coal powered plants that (partially) produce the electricity for the Tesla, than why have I never seen the oil fields and leaking oil pipes of Nigeria when they do a story on their beloved Porsche's, Ferrari's and Aston Martin's.

Kudos to the chumps at Tesla for taking the petty route, bringing a suit against Top Gear for what THEY consider libel. The most ironic part is that this ridiculous accusation demeans their name more than Top Gear ever could have. Google "Tesla Top Gear libel" and find Top Gear's response for the real story
