If you really love music you can be keen on both, chopin and chris brown becouse both are awesome artists in their own style. Do be uncultured posting stupid comments talking bullshit.
Dexter is brilliant by the way, you should try it.
Everyone came here from somewhere. no one was born knowing immediately who Chopin was. Be it from mother or relatives liking Chopin and introducing you to them or simply finding him from reading something. Im an avid fan of all types of music, im open minded. However i do have distaste for Chris brown and others today, but i dont simply dismiss them. I came here from guitarist jimmy page. He played a piece by Chopin, Prelude op 28 no 4. And from there i checked the orginal and so forth.
@kletuskasady1 Well,,, I don't think he is the best piano player ever, but I do think he created the best compositions... of that I don't have any doubt!!!
Please note that contemporary classical music is excluded from this list. For instance, John Williams or Ennio Morricone, as great as they are, does not belong to this list.
Hey everyone, please write your favorite 5 classical music pieces(in no particular order). I will collect the results and announce them at the end of the March 2012. Like this to make it a top comment so that more people can participate in this survey.
This piece torments me.It peels away the present and reaches the deepest recesses of my mind and soul,in turn highlights my past and the sufferings I have endured which lay hidden and concealed from my children to ensure their every happiness in life. What music can do to one.
@ozerith1 I typed and posted my comment without conscience? It was just what I was feeling and thinking at the time.Music like this can really send you off to an absent-minded state;regardless of the multitudes that may have the misfortune of reading someone's heart half way across the globe. But what's funny is you quickly discover that we are all emotionally the same and recognize beauty without prior education to it.
you know what, i am 20, i heard this song on bad Santa, but i have a love for classical music, i then found this video right here on YouTube, and i am pretty sure half of the plays are because of me, it has been nonstop
This piece was played in the film "Peacemaker" with George Clooney and Nicole Kidman. It was the first time I've heard of it, but knew right away that it was from the Master, Chopin.
pythor you really need to get over yourself. While you are speaking of tasteless why not come up with an orginal username as it appears pythor "1" was taken.
This is not the best interpretation of the song, but it's still nice. Chopin is my favorite! I hope I am able to play his entire repertoire one day in the not too distant future. His melodies are terribly inspiring and his works bring forth such a variety of emotions that music today can only barely touch.
Heard this in my music appreciation class and had to say it sent a chill down my spine. I honestly don't usually get that from classical music, but this is definitely one of the greats.

@ShotDead20 Oh no he said a bad wuhd. Guess what! They're four-letter words, there are no magical properties to them, there comes no detrimental connotation to them - you are only brought up to think that - and on the contrary they are only used to emphasize an exclamation. Looks like you're the one who needs to grow up.
@ShotDead20 I don't want to get too involved, but I think that you've topped his vice by being a bit of a pompous dick yourself. At least he had good intentions. You are just being mean.
