i find it quite odd how people distance religions from each other...cuz almost all religions are their for personal benefit...i mean, buddhists want to be released from "eternal torture", christians wanna go to heaven, etc...and satanists want to live a good life essentially. they dont actually worship a "satan", its just named so to oppose the christian beliefs of heaven and hell. Whereas some other people just as high in their heirarchy are people I would get along with. in a nut shell you arent expected to like everyone. I have a few dissagreements with LaVeyanism of my own. I really don't like the Social Darwinism and "might is right" mentality in some of LaVey's statements in the Satanic Bible, I think that sort of thinking leads to oppression in society. I also think that some satanists focus too much on the brutal emotions, not knowing that empathy and compassion are just as much apart of the ego as wrath and greed.

My opinion on what's truly Satanic is "fuck rulers altogether!" So, I admit, my objections are mostly politcially motivated. But even though the Church Of Satan tries to stay politically neutral, social darwinism is kind of a political position.
