The video quality is great for this type of device. in fact its the best of any of these tablet devices.

One thing that RIM certainly got right.

the iPad however has the worst image quality from its cameras that I have seen on any tablet device plus no 'out of the box' flash support and is too big.

The RIM Playbook is the device to buy.

Just one question: Do you know of a way during a Skype/video call to switch between web cam and forward facing?

The quality on the rear camera is good in 1080p. The front camera is also good but, sometimes lags in 1080p. Overall i'd give the rear camera 9/10 and the front camera 8/10.

@GlassOfBlueWater I personally if doing video editing, would like one screen dedicated to the video editor application, and the other screen for the web browser/Finder Screen..etc. It's usually just easier and quicker to multitask that way for me. With one screen I loose the large workspace that is prefered while doing graphical/video work, and have to continue to minimize one app/window to get to the other.

I seriously don't see why people thing this camera is soo good (apart from it being 1080p and all). There is a very strong purple tinge either due to a poor lens or poor white balance control. Unless this is fixed, the camera quality is average at best.
