When blowing cooldowns you actually don't want to blow them all at once. You want to do such as. KS then once finished AR then once that is done BF. This will keep your dps high and you won't be like pulling super high dps and then all the sudden it dies out and you suck balls right once the cds are off of you.

I heard its better to use wound poison on main hand instead of instant because with slower weapon wound poison procs almost every hit and instant procs on every 2nd-3rd not sure. Is that true?

@TookMeJerrb i think its best to use instant poison on your MH because it deals a lot more damage than wound poison. in a pve setting, we don't need the WP debuff on the mob you are attacking unless its called for. although WP procs more than IP, as soon as 5 stacks of deadly poison is on the target, IP would start proccing a lot more.

so use IP on your mainhand and DP on a fast OH.

I think it's better to use Killing spree and blade flurry together rather than adrealine rush and blade flurry, since during killing spree you are doing 20% more damage and blade flurry increases haste by 20%. Nice vid though ^^

I've got a few questions. First off should I put points into blood spatter if I have the two piece tier 9 bonus? Also do you just gem agility and hit? And does the poison hit cap apply to combat rogues as much as it applies to Assassination rogues? (As in should I get poison hit capped regardless of my spec?) Any insight into these quests would be much appreciated.

Definitely go for the poison cap no matter what spec. As for the tier 9 bonus, It really isn't worth it, but like i said every rogue is different. I don't use Rupture at all, only because i feel confident enough without it. As combat, you want to gem Armor Pen, if you aren't hit capped with gear. Agility and attack power is for assassination.

As Combat with 5/5 in Hack and Slash. Its better to have ex. Axe/Sword insted of Axe/Dagger .. right? Or does the extra swing only effect the mainhand wep.

Also, there seem to be some big confusion to wich gems to go for. Some combat rogues gem only ArmorPen - some only go for AttackPower and others only Agility. Can anyone clarify that alittle?

Other than that I actually agree, most people would want the action at the start. (I thought he did it was best as he did; chronologically. The same way I did when I followed this tutorial for my rogue. I specced, then tested the dps - not the other way around. Probably why he did it in that order).

And I might add Combat is absolutely horrible in PvP. Concentrated single target damage just isn't there. Killing Spree turns out to be a nuissance more than anything. I have two lvl 80 Rogues both in the 5400 GS. One I've kept as assassinate and the other combat. Soon I'll have two assassinate rogues, lol. :P

Interesting you would opt for any poison enhancing spec without ever having applied Rupture to the target. More than likely you are finding out the same as I where Combat spec is concerned: it sucks. Sure, it's fun on trash mobs but an assassin rogue will out DPS a combat rogue any day on the fights that count.

A tip for using the cooldowns, use Adrenaline rush, then trincket (it doesnt have a global cool down so yeah) then blade flurry since the global CD will be finished, then once those CD has finished use killing spree, since the trincket has 5more seconds then the others, it will combine with the killing spree resulting in more damage. Easy.

@iRageWillingly - Currently level 56 quickly getting to 60 due to the insane AV experience points. Working on getting my field marshal set, because I plan on levelling in the battlegrounds to 70, and dont have BC yet. I'm currently mutilate spec, and it seems to be working pretty good for PVP. Would you reccomend I stay Assassination for PVP, or go to Sub, or even combat swords once I get my Grand Marshal swords?

I would try to stand clear of Combat PvP. I actually just played around with it a moment ago, and it was terrible. Although when you get your Grand Marshal swords, i would stay Assassination if i were you. But Subelty did get buffed up recently so that's a tough decision. If you stay Assassination then your going to have to get daggers.

But if you want to go sub, I would rock a 1.80 dagger in your main hand for ambush/backstab. With a grand marshal sword in your off hand.

i saw that u opened blade furry after killing spree...here is an advice for u.... open blade furry 1st and then killin spree coz then u get killing spree x2...and when u are at raid or hcs use the tricks of the trade on the tank so that ur ULTIMATE damage combo(blade furry-killing spree) cause zero aggro!!!!

Hey, just wanted to start off by saying that I love the video. I had a question to ask, I used to end-game raid, untill I quit for about 6 months for health reasons. Im starting up again with a friend of mine, and we are levelling via RaF. I made a rogue, and I was wondering what talent spec is the best for levelling? I'm currently combat, and level 32. I was originally assassination, but I kept pulling agro, so backstab wasnt getting alot of DPS in... Anyways, awesome vid. Hope to hear you soon

Sub is the best leveling spec until you unlock Mutilate for rogues. So until that day comes, i would spec Sub. Then at level 80 either go Mutilate, or Combat. Work Rupture in your rotation now, since the damage has the ability to Crit due to 3.3.4 patch.

Sub tbh is meh for leveling, I would still recommend Combat for leveling due to the ease of play and early hit gain vs mobs plus AoE pulls once you get Blade Flurry is always nice for grinding some mobs down. Though now you can level as whatever you want and still be pretty effective.
