  • Why is the youtube user name Buddha? thats a god

  • perfect landing

  • hahaha i ahve the same exact video on my channel!

  • Like a boss

  • IF i was to hang glide i think i would want to make my turns high up and come in for a long straight landing approach rather than make turns at low altitude which is where people can often stall

  • класс))

  • in order to bank a hang glider do you bank the glider to the left by pushing the bar and tilting it left. SO to turn left would you push the bar to the right

  • pfft couldn't have been more than 150! ;)

  • wow thats crazy stuff

  • Is it possible to get back up in the sky after getting so close to the water?

  • @1956ron You dont seem to have anything positive to say Ron, just many negative comments criticising pilots performing exciting manoeuvres. Why dont you upload some videos of yourself flying? Show us all how it is meant to be done

  • wow i wonder how much stress the airframe can handle to be able to pull out of 161km so quickly like that.

  • are all gliders steered by weight?

  • @Brav0ZuluForever there are "flex wings" which are steered by weight shifting and "rigid hang glidiers or rigid wings" which are armed with flaps and you just have to move the control bar into one direction

  • @hawkairxc thx :)

  • best landing Ive seen :)

  • why are you dressed like a penguin??

  • @VitalMusic217 are you a retard?

  • looks good for kite surfing there

  • How do you control the hanglider?

  • Whew ! That is a bit too close for my comfort level, but hey, he has to be under 30 with no kids ! LOL ! Anyhow, nice base turn/climb and landing.

  • Fake

  • I apologize I misunderstand, 50 miles so, it`s true 160....

  • Nice approach and "no-flair" landing!

  • nicely done

  • Hi, could anyone tell me where this is, please?

  • The place does not have a name sorry.

  • @Buddha2707 nice flight but every [place has a name or are you all just keeping it quite? lol nice though

  • @Buddha2707 Love you Buddha!! Thanks from the rest of us....

  • @Buddha2707 It's a place called Earth.

  • @strike13579 This is youtube. At your house.

  • @strike13579 South jetty in Humboldt county by about 10- 20 miles outside of eureka

  • @surferkiter80: 50 km/ph

  • Is it available to achieve this speed with an engine ?

  • @acharad no for sure not.. LOL are you serious?

  • Hmm. Is it because as the engine weigh a lot or Deltaplan's drag coeffient ?

  • @acharad i was being sarcastic. of course it would be faster with an engine.. eventhough an engine is a bit heavy, the glider's weight is nihil, since such an engine is made for even heavier gliders or even little planes. most of the time at least :)

  • i wish i had one

  • The best, its amazing for me---._.---

  • wooow

  • i really dont know whats all that fuss about that video, 161kmh groundspeed is not a problem at all when u have so much tail wind. measure your airspeed mate. 161 kmh with a combat, i think its imposible, talking bout airspeed.

  • reaaly sick

  • John Smith carries his balls round in a wheel-barrow!

  • sick...

  • good effort!

  • You did it again ... and as cool as it can be!

I really like your landing in strong headwind ... makes it look so easy (when we all know that it's not!).

  • sweet approach & landing !

  • Watching your vids makes me wish I was doing more with my life....having more fun at least.

  • that's sick as mate and what a good turn and nice landing :) better then my landings

  • would you have drowned if you hit the water?

  • no, he learned to swim when he was 5 but he wouldn't hit the water cause he wouldn't want to get his parachute wet. also salt water is quite corrosive on glider parts.

  • oh, okay. i meant could he have gotten out of the hang glider before drowning since hes strapped to it

  • parachute... it is a hang glider...

  • @Buddha2707

Yes but isn't he all rigged in with the harness? And how does he know that he will be able to get lift again after going so low?

  • @jacksonofalltrades at that speed he can just pull up as the speed will create all the lift he needs.

  • @mister2012harrison I'd say no, but the impact at that speed would kill you anyway! awesome shit man!

  • @mister2012harrison-If he survived the impact at that speed, he'd be unconscious at best. Yes he would drown. It's near impossible to get yourself loose from the harness before you are pulled under by the glider. I have personal experience from rescuing someone who hit a pond at half this speed. He was being pulled under water, half conscious and paralyzed, less than two minutes after impact. Do not fly low over water.

  • @airwolfgunner "do not fly low over water" Then where should yoy fly over low Chad? He didn't impact the water, so why imagine he did? What if he crashed on take off, would he of drowned? He didn't crash on take off and he didn't hit the water so he didn't loose consciousness, need to get loose from harness under water, or get paralised. What would happen if you focused on your flying instead of talking shit chad? Everone would be better off, especially you.

  • another awsome awsome video...

  • Brilliant

  • 0:20 - 0:26 am i the only one who got butterflys just watching him drift sideways like that.. eesh, man that looks fun though.. i envy you sir

  • Youre THE MAN john Smith!!!!Take care and dont you ever stop, the world needs that kind of people!!!

  • :O.... shit man thats awesome. what would happen if u hit the water ?

  • you offend the fish

  • lmfao

  • At that speed you are dead - broken neck most probably

  • Great landing. I have so much to learn still...

  • haha i was searching for far cry 2 hang gliding and watched some videos then i found this one and i saw the water and the graphics i was like hell yeah im gonna get this game. then i looked closer then i saw it was not a gamexD but a dude hang gliding lol haha

  • @ddarklight

    really?????? your pathetic

  • I love this sport, and watching video like this only makes me understand why.Thank you, and happy flying. Peace

  • beautifull...

  • Aw, he had a tailwind...

  • ps

    no dogs today?

  • The dogs are still on launch. Yeah its quite windy, about 30mph

  • whats cool is... having done the sport i can clearly see a kite surfer in the background when you land. good effort windy day

  • yeah i was one of the kiters, he was really moving when he went past me, yes it was a good windy day

  • Respect....!

  • Nice!!!! A very skilled Pilot!!

  • Sweet landing approach, and a personal favorite as well...

  • Thanks very much

  • gps shows ground speed not air speed he has a 50 kph tail wind. and he hooks in at 105kg on a 12 m combat.

  • im going to believe budda on this 1,mr lightspeed.

  • Have you ever crashed doing that?

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • u have some skills!nice!

  • Where is this site?
