@jburm0305 Mir is great, he has the most submissions in the HW division in UFC history. The guy is a fucking monster, his striking is amazing, his submission and BJJ speak for themselves. I mean, is he the GSP of grappling and the Anderson Silva of striking? No. But he's a hell of a lot better than Lesnar and Cro Cop (currently). The only grappler IMO that is better than Mir in the HW division is Roy Nelson, but he is a worse striker than Mir.

now, i think Mir by sick submission in R1.. we must be serious, CC is not the same CC from Pride, and Mir is really improved in every aspect. He had no fear to stand with Kongo or Carwin. He wont afraid of stand with CC, but i think, we will see, knock down like in Nogueira fight, and GnP or submission. He is stronger than CC and bigger :)

Mir is my fav fighter, but I don't get why he's still not able to control big guys...even though he's a friggin big guy too. Couture was 220 and out-wrestled Lesnar a couple times durin the fight.

If you have noticed, almost every single top fighter now has a 4 year collegiate wrestling back ground, or like GSP, has mastered it over the years... Jujitsu alone is not enough...,

Like after he lost to Carwin, his gameplan was to wait about 30 seconds, push him off and box him...totally backfired. He's got the power which i didn't think he had, but doesn't use it to it's full potential. After Lesnar vs. Carwin, i was super surprised at how bad his standup was, his ground looked pretty jesus though

@karsad90 how good u look sometimes just really depends on who ur fighting ya know... stylistically frank mir is at a disadvantage againts brock and carwin. jujitsu largely loses againts wrestlers who know jujitsu. like carwin and lesnar. i think wreslting is a stronger base to have supplemented by jujitsu. wrestling is about control. control ur way control ur opponent to put them into the submission. mir doesnt have that. he's elusive instead. striking wise... carwin just hits too damn hard
