BEATLES? this list is stupid. the beatles practically invented psychedelia. and FLOYD WAS ONLY PSYCHEDELIC WHEN THEY HAD BARRET, AFTERWARD THEY MOVED TO PROG ROCK. THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS. THEY MADE A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO MOVE AWAY FROM PSYCHEDELIA AFTER 1969.

At 0:35, the song for Jefferson Airplane, that's not by Jefferson Airplane or Jefferson Starship, it's just by a band called Jefferson. But it's a damn good song. My favorite band is The Doors, but I'm starting to like The Who, The Animals, Jefferson Airplane, and Jimi Hendrix just as much.

@bus142cm floyd was only psychedelic with syd barret. afterward they moved to prog rock. they made a conscious effort to move away from psychedelic music when they fired syd. the beatles are quite obviously #1.

good bands all of them. I've heard The Doors song The crystal ship was influenced by crystal meth. based on my experience (i don't do hard drugs anymore) it sounds like it was but i didn't think meth was around in the late 60's early 70's. just curious. anyone know for sure?
