@DAREtaylor yes however labours policy's are much better. They focus on education and not giving so much to the rich. Also Labour didn't cause all of that debt it just gradually built up over time! Conservatives are making cuts in education and jobs two of one the most important factor in making society work is so people can have a good education then afterwards actually get a job! In a population static world no-one should live in poverty & capital should be distributed to reflect that, but beyond poverty it really doesn't matter what people earn, except to commie enslavers.

On the contrary, he argued that capitalism was against human nature and that communism, of which statelessness is a part, was the natural progression of human nature. I went down to see this march, as far as I could see the march was peaceful, you had a small group squatting who were getting all the media attention, they were not on the march I stood in front of a camera that was not even turned on until the squatters turned up..They were the ones who caused the violence so the police should have arrested them and let the genuine marchers get the limelight the media and the police in my mind were the ones at fault here and not the real voice of the public ..

The UK is already a third world country, we just dont know it yet. We have massive debts, little manufacturing, exploding birth rate, few resources & foreign owned everything + massive imports, there wont be any welfare state soon.

This new policing is like the Syrian security police and intelligence getting info on democracy protests and people disappearing in the night. UK is not democratic as most of our prime ministers are elected with 20-35% of the British votes, we despearately need true democracy when leaders do represent the majority of the population. We only have minority governments.

Erm, the reason that the UK is in such a mess is because the Public Sector is too large. In some parts of the country over half of all the population work for the state. This is not how a healthy economy should be run. A healthy economy should have a large private sector supporting a tiny state - not the other way around. @DAREtaylor yes however labours policy's are much better. They focus on education and not giving so much to the rich. Also Labour didn't cause all of that debt it just gradually built up over time! Conservatives are making cuts in education and jobs two of one the most important factor in making society work is so people can have a good education then afterwards actually get a job! Labour put cuts in all the areas however did it in a subtle way...

And Labour engineered debt by doing things like private partnership, so that a hospital gets built by the private sector and rented back to the' government ( your tax burden) so that you have to pay tax every year for the rent of a building at an astronomical rent. and along the way there are so many sweet opportunities for backhanders and pay off jobs for family members.

I think if the whole nation just stops paying there council tax, then that shoud hit them hard enough for the time being as there are approx 61,838,154 in the counrty so times that by say the basic £120 council tax and that is alot to lose in one month.

We can be more carefull with our money, we can stop giving our money to banks to invest, we should stop buying the luxory goods we don't REALLY need, we should stop and think where the money we spend goes and who gets richer. Do we need to send 30 or more TXT's to friends, do we need to use the car so often, do we need to buy designer clothes,do we need that foreign holiday? when we stop making the rich richer we have a chance.

@scoocheeful 1. My argument is that there cannot, by definition, be a communist 'state' because a communist society is defined by, among others things, its statelessness. Therefore, a communist society has never existed. All states that have claimed to be communist were based heavily on a capitalist market system, had a clear class system and/or had the private ownership of the means of production.

@Brewx2 You use the word communism but it's you that doesn't know what it means. Marx made ramblings about no-one owning anything & that he could be whatever he wanted to be, but then went on to define a industrialized political system that requires murder & effective enslavement to work.
In spite of Marx's ramblings there is nothing wrong with ownership/capital, the only evil is to allow individuals or states to take it all in tax or low pay, which is exacly what socialist & corporations do.

Why should people earn different incomes? Why should say a nurse earn less than a university lecturer?
What is your ideal? What do you envision as the perfect economic and political systems?

@Brewx2 Let's make that more relevant & say why should a nurse earn far more than & call centre worker?. Your examples are both too middle class to reflect reality & that's the rub. A UK nurse isn't poor, but a call centre worker on minimum wage can be & wealth only becomes an issue if you are poor. In a population static world no-one should live in poverty & capital should be distributed to reflect that, but beyond poverty it really doesn't matter what people earn, except to commie enslavers.

On the contrary, he argued that capitalism was against human nature and that communism, of which statelessness is a part, was the natural progression of human nature. As opposed to arguing that all human are 'violent apes', he believed we could all peacefully exist in a society not based on competition. Read some Marx and you might find yourself more informed.

@scoocheeful The first three of these quotations come from a definition Marx gave of socialism, not communism. This are not the communist ideal.
The point in the last quotation is Marx's believe that to progress into an epoch of socialism and then communism their must be a violent revolution. This was not, as you say, the murdering of the working class, but the violent upheaval of the bourgeois ruling class.

Where unfettered capitalism allows criminals to enslave the poor, under socialism/communism the state takes on the role of criminal, enslaving the masses in perpetual poverty, taking their labour with menaces, & keeping a class of parasitic aparratchiks with the proceeds. We have closet communism already, stealth taxes taking up to 80% of our labours, millions of state paid parasites to justify the slavery.

But there are a very many people in this world who are not presented with the opportunities others get regardless of their abilities, opportunity isn't uniform. As the economies plummets, most scientists in research are struggling to find work even in teaching (and they get paid more there too!). You can't just quit your job and start working to be 'rich' when it necessitates your survival.

Thanks for the report/interview.
Respect for the huge mass demonstration! Good that the protest coalition brought two points together. Struggles against social welfare cuts and other austerity measures and also against the military actions were plenty of money gets spent. GB has anyway a strong union and anti-war movement.

I went down to see this march, as far as I could see the march was peaceful, you had a small group squatting who were getting all the media attention, they were not on the march I stood in front of a camera that was not even turned on until the squatters turned up..They were the ones who caused the violence so the police should have arrested them and let the genuine marchers get the limelight the media and the police in my mind were the ones at fault here and not the real voice of the public ..
