I live in Australia and to get an iPhone you either have to be on a plan or pay at least 900 Aussie dollars to get one outright. I would love to get a legitimate Refurbished iPhone (3G) white model not locked to any carrier.

technically it isnt, but I think what he meant was that it comes with the same 1-year warranty so Apple truly believes it is on par with the new iPhones.

and even if u unlock the iPhone thers always ways of re-locking it so they would never find out.

I ordered my refurb 8GB iPhone today! Thank goodness for refurb! $400 is a bit much to pay for a phone.

Yeah, even if you buy a "new iPhone" and you break it, they send you a refurbished one back!

I bought a refurb iPhone yesterday and it should arrive sometime on Wednesday. I also got the AppleCare plan for 2 years.

Refurb iPhones are a great deal and are very rare. By luck of searching yesterday I found a refurb 8GB model at the Apple Online Store, so I snatched it immediately :-D
