@DisturbedFrankeh This video was taken shortly before it hit our house + I lost friends + our lives were uprooted, yet I still see the amazing beauty of the storms + would go back. If it were not for people who see the wonder and beauty in them we would not have storm chasers who have learned about them + in turn saved untold numbers of lives! You are not sick youre in a minority of folks who can see that though destruction there is still beauty in natures power BTW it is terrifying and amazing!
I was there right behind the guy with a camera. The damage control was intense. I worked at the Airman's Dinning Facility. Just a cook back in the day, but whomever posted this, thanks.
@zobody What was it like? Seeing the beautiful, deadly Andover twister come toward you... the incredibly lonely and eerie feeling when the sirens cut off, and all you hear is that monster shredding ground and debris below it. About 2 months after this tornado I was born (NY here) and despite the dangers and unpredictability... I would have given anything to be on those stairs with the people, watching with horror and excitement that very day.
@manthing43 hurrrr, good one! What can be more fruitcakeish than your username? Don't hate on me because I love tornadoes, and wanted to know what it was like from somebody who was right there in this video. you fail xD
@DisturbedFrankeh There's nothing "beautiful" about a deadly tornado. Are you happy with the record outbreak yesterday? 45 people died. A tornado can turn simple straw into a deadly weapon and spear it right thru your skull. You can be standing a "safe" distance away from a tornado and get zapped by deadly lightning too - it's happened many times. Want a piece of that?? I say GO FOR IT. Weirdo. Oh and my username is based on the Marvel character, not on myself, so it's you who fails.
@manthing43 Thanks for telling me something I already know. I'm well aware of the fact of how many people died in the past few days from the outbreak. Just because I think tornadoes are beautiful, doesn't mean that I'm showing disrespect for the people who have lost their homes and lives. Stop being such a defensive prick who jumps to conclusions too fast. Does that mean that everybody who loves tornadoes don't care about the deaths they cause? No, it does not. Show some respect and shut up...
@sydaprildani These videoes on his channel are classic tornadoes from the past, he didn't actually film them. He would have been about 8 years old when this tornado hit. He's just sharing some films of the old classic tornadoes, because they are some of the best footage ever, and a good amount of these are not done by storm chasers, being that chasing didn't become very popular until the movie Twister came out in 1995. I chase storms myself, but I do like to watch home vids of tornadoes also.
Actually, it was a line of B-1's, with four of them on Nuclear Alert...

my ROTC instructor was here when the storm hit. he said it just missed a line of brand new B-2's. crazy shit.
