For the longest time I had been planning to swap in a greytop beams 3sge into my MK1. I have spent a great deal of time and effort gathering up my resources, money and knowledge while nursing along my tired old smallport 4age to prepare for the swap since the notion of a v6 seemed way too complicated for me to do and the metion of "axle matching" is haunting. However, your MK1 has completely spun me 180. Thats a damn glorious noise.

@LLJKotaru Axle matching is not bad. Actually, the whole swap is not bad, minus the motor mounts. Easily doable. Thanks for the kind words!

Also, the car will probably sound louder and more throaty in the near future. A new magnaflow is going to go on it.

@aigochamaloh I bought one and started crawling through your thread on twobrutal. What did you do about the drivers side and passenger side engine mounts? I don't quite understand the thread, did you use the 3vzfe template?

@LLJKotaru On the passenger side, I bought a 1MZ mount from 4v6, who is not on 2brutal anymore because of drama. The admins at 2brutal may be able to make you one though. This mount allows you to use the MR2 turbo mount on the passenger side. I used the normal E153 mount on the driver's side. I did use the 3VZ templates, made them out of cardboard and cut them to fit out of the steel after fitting them. If you have questions, post in my thread, it's easier than Youtube.
