  • I wonder how do you quick load samples into ammobox like in this video?

I managed to get it working, but didn't figure out yet how to fast load the samples into it like in this video

  • do you need a certain kind of deck for ammobox to work...or will any deck work with it?

  • Anything capable of playing digital timecode. It'll work with midi devices too, but would require a little noodling to make work.

  • would it be possible to let ammobox respond to midi note-offs?

  • would it be possible to let ammobox respond to midi offs?

  • what vinyl do you have to use for the tracking

  • All existing commercial vinyl solutions are supported. Final Scratch, Traktor Scratch, MixVibes, Serato, Ms. Pinky, etc.

  • Very cool !

  • killer. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

  • Awesome ensemble. Side note, I really like your ableton skin, where'd you get it?

  • Hey man! so this is basically loading samples using that reaktor plugin inside ableton and scratching on the fly (each sample is on a midi note) correct? Pretty much like cues assigned to midi notes... But no looping this time =) correct?

    peace out & respect!

  • Not really just changing cues, if you were to implement something similar with one static audio file, you couldn't trigger multiple samples simultaneously, or overlap them such as ammobox does. The ability to have asynchronous sample triggering isn't a trivial aspect, it's a major feature.

Someone could do something similar to ammobox where you could have cue points set to a single long sample with multiple phrases seperated by silence, but it just wouldn't be the same or as powerful.

  • link to requirements for this 'plugin' please, do we need reaktor? is there an info page, where under GPL is this available?

  • Well, good point. Reaktor is a commercial product, but my ensemble is 100% built from scratch, so the 'source' I'm releasing is the ensemble I created. Which may not be GPL compatable.

But the basic idea is, if you use it you must give me credit and you can't sell it without providing the next person your source. (Which is basically impossible with Reaktor anyway!) Whatever that affords me. I'll review the license, at the root of it it's free and I just want credit for my idea / work.
