It was put in the loft, but in truth turned into a bit of a nightmare.

We spent all the time trying to get continuity problems sorted out - each time we used the track there seemed to be a new one. As well as that it took ages to retrieve cars, especially from the back of the spiral. Because of this it was impossible to race on it.

I ripped it all down after a few months and boxed it up until we have a bigger house.

A layout on a table where you can walk all the way round will be much more use.

thank you - it was just some thin plyboard - the centre of the spiral was a pine post with dowel stuck in every 90 degrees.

In truth tho, I went over the top - it was a pain in the a**e to race on because putting the cars on (& retrieving them) was so awkward.

If you have more room & can put a spiral in more central so you can walk round it I think the overall enjoyment would be better.

As it was, we dismantled this track as we spent more time putting cars on than we did racing.
