tweak VI f'd up my firefox. despite i said for it to backup my settings (it didnt) for months it would crash. despite uninstalling/reinstalling, and deleting EVERYTHING firefox/mozilla related in the registry. otherwise tweak vi helped :) and somehow firefox started working again last month.

Win 7 is supposed to come out in October. Windows 7 RC1 comes out May 5, it's build 71xx, not sure what build, but it'll be free for download from Microsoft on May 5th, and will work till June 2010. So a little over a year, by then, you'll be able to get Windows 7 untouched off a torrent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the visal effects changed in this video are the effects of Vista - like animated menus, taskbar, transparent stuff, etc. It should have no effect on in-game graphics I think. If it does, then you can always undo the settings you changed, or system restore if there's a real problem.

To sebbomm, if you lost 1 gig of RAM, it could be due to physical damage (dropping, or something like that) and the RAM has become lose out of it's spot. Try (if you know what you're doing) opening your computer up and checking to see if everything is in place.

I also use Linux Ubuntu 8.04 and i really like it i have lots of tutorials on it and i love vista also and ever since service pack 1 its been really good i havent had any problems with it YET i guess well see cause i dont preffer either or i like both Vista and Ubuntu.

You need to look into vlite its vista made for older computers so it can be ran with very low system resources.
