@tle123rox I'm not sure if you realize this, but punching a security guard in the face isn't exactly just a small thing. Sure, Kurt Cobain did it, but he was freaking Kurt Cobain. RBF was probably in trouble with the management (Dan actually came out and apologized to the entire audience for the incident) and they couldn't have someone with anger problems like that in the band, getting them into trouble.

@tle123rox All I know is that Grant took a "break" from the band either after Why Do They Rock So Hard?s release or after its recording, then he came back, then he punched a security guard at a St. Louis show, and I think that's when he was let go from the band.
The fact that he wasn't replaced hints at the idea that Aaron was getting tired of having a second trombonist, but they've played several shows (including one I've seen) with another trombone player, so I'm not sure of the specifics.
This early footage is so fun to see. I don't remember seeing Oddville on Mtv, but apparently this episode is dated 5-12-97, just before RBF went on the Warped 1997 tour!
