  • lovely Dean organ, I wonder if the snare drum up inside the main case behind the pipes also plays, that makes 3 snare drums! not many organs have that

  • @IanPostlethwaite This is a 54 keyless owned by Mike Stabb.

  • Thats ok it was just a matter of interest.Thanks.

  • Does this organ work off of books?

  • It's such a long time ago that I can't really say. Usually organs like this have a cardboard stack with holes that is fed into the mechanism to read the notes.

  • Yes it is a book-playing organ.

  • @petermackett37 54 keyless Dean 'The Pied Piper' owned by Mike Stabb. Are all these tunes Steve Clarke arrangements?

  • @118Verbeek Yes indeed it is, it is a 54 keyless Dean called 'The Pied Piper' owned by Mike Stabb.

  • I can remember seeing this organ at a steam rally in Cornwall quite a few years ago and buying a tape of it.

  • this looks like a very early 54 keyless Dean organ, its inetersting to see how they have 'evolved' over the years

  • @ioq1 It is called 'The Pied Piper' and is owned by Mike Stabb.

  • Three flute pipes are much in need of tuning.

  • relax rot. The Biphones on Carl Freis where always slightly (only slightly out) most of the time to give it that distinctive sound.
