Jesus what a shitty ass chart... What the fuck is with their obsession of crossovers in every single fucking song now? Endless crossover streams at 200BPM is not fun nor hard. Just fucking dumb.
I havent gotten to play DDR X cause arcade around here suck but, did they turn Max 300 into a 9 footer? It looks so piss poor easy now and it wasnt even hard in the first place.
What the hell happened to the original stap chart? God.. Way to kill it DDR,,, I remember the good old days. I could do that song on heavy when I wuz 6.
@FlipP36o Nope, they just did the songs on their keyboards thinking they made it easy enough, but accidentally ended up releasing it with a fuck-ton of crossovers and turns .....
The chart only makes sense if you learn it and spin, but the problem is that most players don't actually enjoy reading or playing such patterns. This chart is more technically "challenging" than any official ITG song.
This chart doesn't seem so retarded when you realize that you're supposed to shuffle your feet in the middle of the double taps.... the chart's still pretty wack though.
I do not see how Konami can expect people to get anywhere near a FC on the last third of that chart without having the frakkin' thing memorized. It's downright ridiculous. Double steps a tenth of a second apart? Really?
I bet those crossovers are harder than they look stamina-wise, most of Energizer's crossovers are actually close together. (Same with all the horrible pointless double steps, wtf Konami, how can you make such great Gradius games and then churn out this crap)
When steps make sense and don't require you to learn the chart to know when to switch feet, and don't require double-stepping or spinning during fast streams, they're easier. Energizer is far easier than this tosh.
It's as though, for all the boss X-specials, they hired a different stepchart writer for each set of measures. They're all very weird - not necessarily bad, but definitely weird - and slightly reminiscent of multiple-personality disorder.
Well I guess Konami wants to re-make some stepcharts on some Konami Original Songs (boss songs. mostly) and they call there charts "X Special" since it's been more than 10 years of DDR.
It's where you have to turn your body to match the steps. The pattern is a left or right step, followed by a up or down step, then a step that is opposite the first one.
Wow. Now I truely have lost all faith in Konami. The spins make NO sense at all whatsoever. Freezes = too many. Also they just abused crossovers way too much here. Making most of it crossovers =/= harder. Seriously we don't need a PRO 2.0 people! At least bear that in mind before making more "X Specials" Konami.
Good job on AAing it though, that does deserve credit.

This chart makes no sense. At all. Konami, you fail.

Why do people often consider any chart with crossovers to be horrible?
I find that it adds to the challenge and tends to make charts more fun.
Has anyone here played D2R Freeze Special the way it's intended to?

lol ddr fuking blows now. this chart is beyond shit.

Btw you're a great player Dr. D ;)

If DDR was dead then why are thy still making new mixes? The step chart doese make sense. Konami can do more than just make stream songs!

Jumps = press 2 arrows simultaneously by jumping

fuck those cross overs.... sheesh... why do you people play this shit? Start playing ITG already sheesh...

Honestly this is under rated... This should have been 18 too...
Ravagehyperkill 2 years ago
Yeah this looks about as tough as Energizer Expert on ITG, which would have a similar rating.
If you take that battery life thing into account, I guess this becomes a 19 on the DDR X scale
ShinerCCC 2 years ago
Hm yeah, but Energizer drains more stamina than this...

Yeah, Energizer's steps make sense than the x special... I mean, where in the world did they get those double steps and spins running in 300 bpm...?

Why do they think they need to put spins and silly double steps to cater for the hardcore fans?
I noticed a few bloodrush type turns at the end..Hmm...
This worse than the MaxX Unlimited X Special.
