I am curious is the tefillin worn for prayers? How long is it generally worn for? I know it is worn daily except for High Holidays.

I think you did a bit wrong in wrapping the tefillin. Anyway, I don't know much about ashkanazi way of wrapping because I'm a mizrahi jew. Have fun anyway.

I'm a Mizrahi Jew and I follow the Mizrahi/sephardic way of wrapping the teffilin. It's more traditional and I feel it is the right way.

It was Islam that led to mass Jewish migrations to Europe (and thus how the ashkanazi Jews came). The name palestina was given to that land by the Roman emperor as an insult to the Israelis because the Phillistines were mortal enemys of Yisrael. There is no such thing as a Palestinian. So called Palestinians are actually Jordanian Arabs and are from mostly the line of Ammonite ancestry. A cursory review of ancient history will validate this. The land is Yisraels for Eternity. It was given to them by YHWH alone
