@Tunnel51 You're missing some great racing over the years. Greg Moore was my hero and still to this day, he is my favorite driver of all time. That guy could do things with the car that nobody else could match. I was there in Fontana, CA the day he died and I couldn't help but cry. Greg died doing what he loved. Racing is dangerous and it's an accepted fact us drivers face and what it will not do is make us quit. Don't quit watching and remember the good times and make new memories.
@Icosiol Greg's death affected me quite a bit. We were both roughly the same age. Greg's driving and career got me into watching racing, there was something about him that made me want to follow his career. I know racing is dangerous, and i'd seen the odd fatal crash before Greg died, but for some reason it didn't affect me as much. I dont know if you are Canadian, but i was watching his final race and crash live and i was just sick over it. There was intense coverage of the accident here.
@Tunnel51 I can imagine just how much coverage there was. I'm in the States so I'm sure the coverage I got was miniscule compared to yours, however I unfortunately saw it all live. Last I saw of Greg was the doctors performing CPR to him. As horrible as that day was, I remember my desire to compete becoming greater because that's what us drivers do. It's what we love, and that's how Greg lived his life.
I saw his spirit the night he died in his fire suit and helmet. I felt him around me recently maybe because it will be the 10th anniversary of his death.
I think everyone who knew and loved him will never forget him and will think of him in 2050 too. I think there are thousands of people who are on the same opinion.
Wouldn't you love to have his autograph now. What a great kid and an excellent driver.
RIP Greg! Its been over 11 years and i still think about Greg Moore. The day he died i stopped watching racing for good.

Greg was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I still can't believe he's gone. Rest in Peace Greg.
