  • I noticed that Bert's mouth is lower than in the official release. XD

  • Hi just wondering where did you get the track and turntable from?

  • @sounderfan1 sodorislandroutes.jimdo.com has one Arlesdale route (including the turntable) so I'd recommend looking there. There are some other routes there too that might be good.

  • where can I get this route?

  • Wow, I had NO idea this was going on here. If this were the Si3D forums, I would hold back, but on youtube, you're going to be told how it is. I can't believe the people here. "Wens it gona be released?" "send them please." I am sure Rich just doesn't reply to you, but you oughta know this kind of behavior is prohibited on Rich's website and you would be banned by now. Rich and his team do this for FREE, so for that they gladly call the shots, and only they decide on a release. STOP pestering!

  • where did you get the turntable

  • please send my the file of mike and rex

  • @allthetrainz Don't ask him to send you anything. This means ALL of you asking. If you want them, they are finally now released on SI3D's 2009 site, so get them there.

  • can you send me rex and bert and mike (if done)

  • going to see bert or rex any time soon?

  • Can you put the rest of the arelsdale railway engines on SI3D?

  • @trainzofearth IT'S FINALLY HERE LOOK IN THE SI3D 2009 WEBSITE IN THE ENGINES AREA AND THE ROLLING STOCK IN THE ROLLING STOCK AREA.

Have fun with your own arelsdale railway

  • I think its incredible how some people pester about The Arlesdale Models yet Richard is working on The IOS Project as well... Cant the noobs just wait? I mean you are getting the models for free after all.

  • To the noobs: STOP pestering about the models not being released yet!

  • Skarloey123, when are these models going to be released?

  • @atomictrain513 Wait and see

  • @silverexpress1997 We have, for a while now.

  • that looks awsome .bert is very wide does he fit in ok in tunnels and stations?

  • cud you send them

    me please??

  • Do you know what engine sound you used for rex?I like the sound of it.

  • ever going to be released?

  • will these engines ever be shown in any episodes

  • I can't wait 'till Rex,Bert,Mike,Frank and the Arsdale railway is released!

  • LOL! Rex's whistle sounds like the A4 Chime Whistle off 'Blue's' A4's from the Download Station.

May I take a guess it's the same whistle sound? Am I right?

    MstsFan. (A.K.A TrainzVeteran).

  • where did you get the facese for them?

  • @chrisellen2 He made the faces by blending ones from the TV series.

  • I'm not sure if the track gauge is narrow enough. Either that or the cabs are too small

  • @ScottishRails

No, it's 15 inches, trust me.

  • @Skarloey123 Is that the old Jock?

  • "Something called '3D'" LOL

  • by any chance could u send me those two engines, the green and blue one if possible

    cheers

    :)

  • I don't know how you did this, but I am more than impressed

  • LOVE Bert's whistle!

  • im sure whene these guys and there roling stock are released thay will be, AWSOME!

  • Nice engines. :)

  • To exveefan: Richard already finished Mike and Frank according to the forums.

To all going "How you make trainz for Trainz", Richard uses GMAX so please don't ask him.

  • I always thought the Miniature railway characters were the best. :-)

Great work, hope you can model Mike and Frank.

And maybe some coaches and wagons for good measure.

  • Bert actually has his first driving wheel in front of his cylinder, not behind.

    Good models anyway!

  • Actually no, Bert is a 0-8-2 tender engine (note the illustrations.)

  • I know he's an 0-8-2!

But I just saw in a RWS book a picture where his front drive wheel was placed in front of his cylinders.

When are these fine locos coming out?

I know jocks already released, but what about rex and bert?

I've also seen progress shots of mike- very good locos!

  • @Skarloey123 bert is river irt i think at the ravenglass railway i went there the other day

  • wot trainz is it???

  • 2006

  • What an exorbitantly intellectual statement. I think that your exemplary work should be considered for the Nobel Prize.

  • lol good one rich XD

  • what's your problem?

  • ware can i get these cool trains?

  • He hasn't released them yet, except for Jock

  • I like it!

  • I tried downloading jock but I only got his tender. but I did get all the 15 in guage track for him.

  • Of course. He used GMAX to model them and export them into Trainz.

  • NICE!!!

  • I see why you use Hybrid faces for them instead of the RWS faces. You want them to blend in better with your other models. Also the disadvantage to using RWS expressions would be trying to find suitable faces since most are at an angle. Combining TV character faces was a very clever idea on your part :)

  • The first to use a hybrid face at least from what I've seen is Alfred and it's amazing how Gordon and Henry's face combined generated an entirely new face altogether.

  • what are these made with?

  • "A man came to look at us and said he'd be replicating us in something called '3D'."

    Hmm...

BTW, Rex's face looks kinda like Schemer from Shining Time Station...

  • Rich said it was suppose to look more like his dad. :-) Well,on the forums he did!

  • Richard those look great! can't wait to see mike so it will be finished!

  • The Dark Times series has finished.

  • oh yea :P

  • AWSOME

    wow

tv series or RWS you still are the best modeler

  • Wonderful models

  • Smudger worked at Arlesdale for a while as a generator, I think after it closed down and he was moved to mines to pump water

  • Dude you should do the Small Engines Trilogy :)

  • I'm glad you've been able to put your own models to use in various videos and some episodes.

It's a pity Mstnoodle never made a series despite being the one to ignite the flame :)

  • I have the Rushton audio if you want to do so

  • that's sent shivers down my spine! well done Rich!

  • great models!

  • 1. Those are the best Trainz yet!!!! ;D

    2. those would be the faces of your little railway engines if they were in the TV Series

    3. Dose rex have 8 driving wheels?

  • bert has no front wheels, why?

  • That's 'ow he's supposed to look.

  • Those Were Amazing Models,Great Layout too :)

  • Wow, the animation on all of the moving parts is simply flawless. Good on you, Richard. Absolutely fantastic. Are these all the real engine sounds, though? Bert and Rex's respective whistles? They're very suiting.

  • You know, I was actually thinking you should contact the R&ER website...If you edited the meshes and skins to match the real engines, maybe they'd host them on their site, just like what Kevin Martin did for his Talyllyn engines and stock...Some networking for SI3D, you know?

  • HOLY HELL!!! EPIC WIN

  • looking good richard.

  • I guess you blatantly disregarded the featured video on my channel.

  • Well, you made every Arlesdale engine that Wooden Railway didn't make. Which is very ironic!

  • dude these are awesome! You're a wizard with 3D models.

  • Cool!

  • Very impressive

  • wow! will you be making Frank as well? i went to the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway last week as well

  • Why do you want Bert to look like Jock? Awdry liked him in his pre-rebuild look, and so did Christopher.

  • Bert, in the RWS, is in original form.

Until Christopher Awdry states otherwise, it's a fact.

  • I doubt he will, he's in original form in his book as well, Spong illustrated him that way, and so it shall remain.

  • OH WOW

  • Very good work on the engines. I think this takes place after the story "Teamwork" and Mike is in the shed sulking after what Jock did to him.

  • but at the end of the story Mike and Jock became pals :I

  • Great work Rich. Unfortunetly my computer is completely dead so I have to wait for these amazing models even longer, but it's worth the excitment of driving them later.

  • CAN'T WAIT

  • WOW!!!

  • ah, i saw these models on the site, great job! can't wait to see Mike :)

  • Wow! The Arlesdale engines look grand! I can't wait to see Mike though! He's my fav out of them all.

  • Very cool.

  • You never cease to amaze me. I wish I could do things as quick as you :)

  • Well Done Rich!

  • yes Richard well done well done indeed

  • That was awesome!

  • I hope they be released soon!!!

  • Jock is released, actually.
