Airsoft on its own is actually a lot better than what we did when I was a kid, BB and Pellet Guns is what we used before we got into paintball as we got older. Dug many shots out of my skin. Good times! lol

@TRStrider74 Indeed this sport of airsof is so much more "safe&sane" than pellet gun wars which is what we used to have as well whan I was growing up. But not that much different... we had a 3 pump rule anyone who broke it faced the "FIRING SQUAD" lol. All things young males usually enjoy doing, and its really great people have come up with a safer way to do it.

Btw the worst injury from 177 pellets I can remember from my youth was a broken finger, I know it could have been worse..airsoft wins

@TRStrider74 Airsoft is a huge improvement on bb guns or pellet guns for actual play fighting...Although we used to play it safe with a "red ryder or under" policy.... basically we all tuned our bb guns to the level of a red ryder in order to prevent serious injury., It went well till someone got his finger broken by a 177 pellet, then it was bb's only from then on. Anyways air soft is leaps and bounds better than the "old fashioned way"

Actually, both scoped and non-scoped G36 variants are exported and used around the world by different nations and/or private security forces. You can't simply say the GA version is the only one equipped with the built in scope and sighting systems and all the others are not. That's not quite how it works. Though the sighting system on the GA version is unique to that variant, many other versions are exported with build in optics and sights, not just "iron".

you can rent full auto's at certain gun stores...call around. it's usually $50 with one box of rounds. you don't need a gun permit, just need to be 21 & leave your driver's license at the front desk. here near detroit there's a place on woodward & 13 mile. they have an h&k mp5sd, colt m4 in 9mm and a supressed H7K usp pistol for rent shooting. many tourists come to the u.s. from all over the world to safely shoot full auto's.

A) airsoft is popular

and

B) The G36 is restricted to SOT's only in the USA due to the 1986 full-auto ban singed by Reagan... Basically no new machineguns could be manufactured after 1986, with the intention of selling to the public. SOT's are gun dealers (legal ones) who can get them as a 'post sample' (meaning post '86) to demo to cops... then they can keep the 'sample' as long as they like. the police just ahve to want to demo it first though! ;-)
