  • Great! I am glad it was helpful!

  • @isurewould

Thank you, for a really informative set of videos. There is so much rubbish posted on the other so called 'help' videos, this one stands out by miles.

    Thank you again. Sam, UK

  • @isurewould Thank you so much! There are so few people who have tutorials on youtube who do an excellent job of both explaining AND showing in detail in the video what to do. You're one of the rare birds who does it just right. :-)

  • OMG!!! THANK U!!!!

i am a artist and i draw cats XD this help me make neat backgrounds :3 thx

  • I'm still having a huge amount of trouble doing this but I subscribed because you were willing to help.

  • That should be easy. Just do your sketch on new layer above your pencil drawing. (I would recommend getting a drawing pad for that sort of activity). Then uncheck the pencil scanned layer and save the visible layer as a jpg.

  • ok lets say I want to outline a pencil drawing I did physically with a paper and pencil. I scan it in to my computer and then what? I want to outline it with the program then delete the orginal pencil beneath the final outline. Any ideas?

  • Check out my other two videos. Goes through the whole thing step by step...

  • how did you like cut the greek girl out of her original picture and get it to just be her? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im trying to put a picture on top of a picture but everytime i go to layers and select import file from and select another pic the first one becomes tiny its pissing me off i cant figure the crap out can you help

  • @HellOHstars69 Your two images are different sizes. The first picture is very small, and the second one is very big. You should probably reduce the size of the second layer by reducing it and cropping it. Or when you import it, don't expand the canvas size, and then resize the second picture before you do anything else.

  • I NEED HELP!

ONCE I PLACE A PICTURE IN A LAYER AND I GO TO A DEFERENT LAYER AND I WANT TO MOVE THE FIRST LAYER I CAN'T MOVE IT

    !!!!!

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

  • @xoxMarline1995

You can only work on a layer if it is selected in the layers window. (it will be blue if it is selected). You may also need to move one layer up or down, or uncheck unused layers, so they are easier to work on.

  • @isurewould THANKS! :D

  • need halp!.. i have the newst version of Paint. net and i am unaware on how to open the layers module!! like the one in the video!

  • @xomgxSPRYTE

Go to the "Window" menu and choose "Reset Window Locations". The layers box will reappear.

  • @isurewould thankyou very much!! i appriciate the reply!

  • hey! um, after i have finished editing my photo, how do i publish it?

like, i want my edited photo as an whole image and use it as my computer wallpaper?

    please help! :D

  • Not helpful. I need a step-by-step from the start. I can't even get the program to show both of my layers together in a way that I can merge them. It keeps them separate. ARRGH! I don't have a screen like yours above with all of the layers where I can check/uncheck them. There is no command to get there, and I am pretty tech-savvy. Do you have the professional program?

  • @utube44439 If you want helpful advice on YouTube it would be a good idea not to insult people who make the videos. My help is that you can watch my other two videos regarding Paint.net.

  • @utube44439

^ "WHINE WHINE WHINE IM IGNORANT AND IMMATURE AND IM JUST GONNA WHINEEEEEEEEEEEEE TILL EVERYTHING WORKS FOR ME!!!!!"

    :)

  • It won't get rid of the checkerboard. Is Merge Layer Down meant to do something because it won't let me do it?

  • @isurewould could you do more tuts on paint.net?

  • how can i UNmerge back the two layers that i just merged?

  • @alennna

If you just did it, try the undo button. After you have quit that work session and saved your work, however, it is not possible to unmerge two layers.

  • i tried so hard.. and so many times... but in the end when i tried to resize one of the layers all the other layers got smaller together with the one i wanted to shrink.. even though i checked and chose only the one that i wanted to shrink (the other two layers were not chosen nor their little check box was marked so i did not even see them as they were hidden, and yet they all would shrink together (even though i only wanted ONE of them to change size and thus i chose and checked only that one

  • @alenna

I think one of my other tutorials might help you with this. Watch them and see if they help you. You will basically use the "rectangular selector" and a "resize" tool. This will allow you to just resize a section of a certain layer.

  • You will see a button called "merge layer down" on under the layers box. Select the top layer and when you click the button it will merge with the layer underneath it.

  • can you put two layers together to make one layer.

  • @singoutloud2utube

    image -> flatten

  • You can reset all the original window locations in the "Windows" menu. It will display the layers again.

  • how to i get the layers i dont have them :S

  • @krasat top left labeled layers.clcik add layer.

  • @krasat

if your layers don't appear, click window -> layers

  • thanks im downloading the program now

trying to learn how to use it

  • very helpful thanks!

  • Thank You!
