  • @hkobsessions hey was up me to i play btone

  • @uapbm42011 oh how cool :)

  • LOL, UAPB you did great. You know you are doing well when you have haters. Thank you for representing the school and the band well. Crab '93

  • everybody was on point!

  • UAPB is where its at!!!!

  • I LOVE UAPB BAND I HOPE I BECOME A MEMBER OF THERE BAND WHEN I GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OH, how my heart soared to see my ALMA MATER--the band I marched in for 4 years marching in the President's Inauguration parade. Mr. Graham, and the band did a marvelous job!

  • good job

  • UAPB was showing out in 2009--- inauguration, 1st lady speaking @ graduation, and they appeared in the NCAA tournament! UAPB keep up the execellent work.

  • dancers outfits ugly as usual lol

  • @bingbangbang it was so cold there... We had to cover up.... and their uniforms are not ugly..... you took the time to hate so thank you...

  • yall rocked the inauguration congrats

  • i like this selection its awesome

  • Everytime i see this video i get chills and wish that this band gets the recognision it deserves.. This is a band that other hbcu's should look up too. Famu.., their not too far behind ya. kuddos to boti

  • man I love my HBCU!

  • @GQ02 - you have every right to be proud. They did a great job. They made their state and school proud and the alumni should've been proud. They represented! My sister attended UAPB in the late 90's....I thought UAPB and FAMU were the best.

  • Good sound UAPB! That sounded really good!!!!!

  • Wow! Excellent! I am sooooo proud! UAPB and M4 Alumni 1999-2003

  • Nothing worse than seeing a band slum out on first approach. The whole front of the band is barely lifting their feet. Great sound though. You guys really play as a band.

  • "Slum out on first approach"????? Wow! How much did you get paid for this critique? President Obama AND First Lady Michelle AND Vice President Biden was feelin' M4!!!! I am sooooo proud of my school. And yes, I am a proud UAPB graduate!

  • 71 ruthie: Please don't feel that I was attacking your alma mater or your band. I was just stating my observation. The whole front of the band was barely marching. The banner carriers, dancers and even the drum major look as though they were walking. That is called SLUMMING. Not a slight, but a fact. It's there on the video. Despite the court style marching in the beginning of the video, I still like the sound. I too am an HBCU grad and have mad love for the schools and bands.

  • Well, thank you for NOT attacking my alma mater or our band. I was in band during my high school and college years, and I have never heard of, what was the term, slumming. But I'm glad you're here to educate me of such things. I was so very proud, and will always be, of my alma mater and our band. M4 did a wonderful job, and as a graduate of an HBCU, I would have thought you'd be as excited as we all were. But I guess not everyone was happy for the few HBCU bands that were blessed to attend.

  • Again, don't get me twisted 71 ruthie. I celebrate exposure for ANY hbcu on a national stage. Our participation in events like this one expose us to the dominant cultural majority. It is because of this exposure that we now see their bands marching, playing songs like "Talkin out the Side of Your Neck, and also see their frats and sororities step and chant. Del State, FAM, Hampton, UAPB, and my alma mater Howard all played a role as HBCU ambassadors in this high profile event. Very honorable.

  • Sorry if I got it twisted. You are correct in the fact that this exposure now has the dominant culture imitating the styles we have practiced for many years (such as LSU playing "Neck"). I like you Dred and if you don't mind me asking, when did you graduate from Howard?

  • Hey 71ruthie. I graduated from Howard in 1998. And yes. HBCU bands have practiced & worked towards PERFECTING the styles of showmanship for decades now. Others could only hope to keep up! LOL

  • why you gotta point out the negative...did you march that parade???...we did a wonderful job...FARRR better than sorry howard..lol...always will be better than howard...STOP HATING...

  • Kory: You say "why point out the negative?" Is that not what YOU did yourself? In my very FIRST statement, there are two positives but you clung so passionately to the one comment you didn't like (although it was true) that now you label me a "hater." Ruthie and I had deaded this debate amicably and 1 MONTH later, here you come all up in your feelings and calling me a hater? LOL. Read Ruthie and my FULL convo. Ruthie & I are cool. Comment back if you want but I'm done with it brother..

  • it is hating....and i dont know ruthie..so what yall talked about has nothing to do with me....but the fact that you had to point out sumthing negative when noone else did.....this wasnt called for..you shuolda just kept the comment to ur self....and again i say....if we walked down the parade backwards...we were 100% better than howard ne day...and im done too...maybe..lol

  • OMG I been watching some videos wit UAPB gg's and I'm kinda have a hard time..Yall tell me who is better as far as dancer..UAPB OR Alabama State?

  • I haven't seen the dancers from Alabama State in a while, but I am a graduate from UAPB, and our Golden Girls (the original Golden Girls) are FANTASTIC!!! If you get the chance, you should check both schools out; just don't get the BLACK & GOLD confused. UAPB FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • Some if them girls i saw i knew from school jealous ass bitches.

  • You can when a band is on point and sounds wonderful when the President himself starts to feel the groove.

  • cool song

  • its seems almost impossible that a band sooo big can sound soooo good

  • This is great you guys sounded Fantastic! I am so proud that you guys represented in such a classic way with the old school; a part of a great historic moment. They would'nt have been complete without you though LIL Bro! ;>) " Ain't No Stopping Us Now"
