For those who are confused: When you jump off a non-180 degree edge, you get a jump boost(like jumping off a ramp) This is greatly increases when you're running vertically up as it adds both the jumping momentum and the vertical momentum. In other words, jumping off and edge makes you jump high. :)

there is a intresting version of this wich i like to call "yoshi super launch" basicly you hold down z so your crouching on yoshi wile he is going up one of those straight up walls, then you jump off of yoshi. yoshis data is messed up and dereforee yoshi is launched upwards with no stop. if you do this trick against a cieling thing at the end wall yoshi will flip off in to the distant space when not blocked by a wall. that is all
