  • This video is the epidemy of religion. Attacking a pastor based on a reference to yoga, or even taking it, is going against everything Jesus is about... grace. Who cares if Rob Bell takes yoga? Just because it can be based on Eastern religion, doesn't mean it can't also just be exercise. Christmas trees have a pagan background, does that mean having one asserts that you are a proponent the pagan religion? Jesus = grace. Learn it, live it, give it.

  • 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

    Gal 1:6-8 (KJV)

  • Paul in Athens:

Acts 17:28 "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

Who is Paul talking to? Christians? No, idol worshipers. But he says that they live and move and have their being in God. And like the Rob Bell quote of whoever, he quotes a pagan poet and says, "we are also his offspring".

Paul here seems to be teaching dangerously emergent theology.

  • @tomtomdottomtom

Paul was NOT talking to idol worshipers!!!!!!!!! Check out who he addressed his letter to. If you believe this then PROVE it.

  • @cindy63100

..... You are taking that verse out of context. He is giving them [the people of Athens] an overview - explaining God in general. Please ask the Holy Spirit to show you what the Scriptures really mean.

  • OH MY GOODNESS!

They breath in, then breathe out, then breathe in, and breathe out!?!?!

    HEATHENS!!!!!!!!

  • The reality is, nobody knows exactly what the 100 % truth is. Yes, meditation and out of body experiences are real, every religion has their own view on it. Why should you hate on eastern religion, what makes our Western religion so much more correct. Why can't everyone just love and enjoy the time we have here on earth. People need to chill. This very video shows what is wrong with the world.

  • @icantfindb

Do the other "religions" believe that Jesus [the Jesus in the Bible] is the only Way, Truth and the Light and NO ONE can come to the Father except through Him? That is the question. The Bible is very clear about it. We CAN know what the 100% truth is. It is in the Bible. God Bless you.

  • Doctrine, beliefs and faith should be able to withstand questioning and thorough study. We need to seek truth instead of defending what we've been taught as truth.

    whatthehellbook . com

  • We are seeing what is written in 2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

    Well it is here.

  • If you'd like to read some article on the Emergent Church and on Rob Bell and his book, Love Wins, visit: HELLS BELL DOT NET

  • Just The People at Calvary Chapel Jealous How we are Growing while They are shrinking!!!

  • @Rebeccagilespi silly thought and statement

  • We are not meant to be part of any religion and Jesus was the perfect example of that....

  • Human Beings!!!!!!!!!..... I think that Jesus ,Budha , Yahushua,Mohamed and all those they dint want to make any religion ,dogma ,cult they wanted for all of us to be like them ......Infinite love and consciousness .Many people don't want to take control of their lives and actions that's why they are still in dogma ,religion box

  • @kiorboss Amen to that

  • @kiorboss Jesus said "i am the way the truth and the life, NO MAN comes to the father but by ME. This is truth, accept it, or reject it, either way that is the only question you will be asked on judgement day. What did you do with Jesus ? if accept his sacrifice for your sin or not. Simple really. Open your eyes, look for Jesus only, your future depend on it. Dont reply to me in a negative way, as sadly you will find your words replayed for an eternity. Look at yt Fuelproject

  • @toiwin now THAT deserves a thousand Amens

  • Thank You so much. My cousin has your link on his page, and I just got here. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

  • All this about breathing... We are never more spiritual that the day that we stop breathing, because it is then that we are totally spirit...

  • I love the emergent church! Anything that weakens the "body of Christ" from within is a boon for those of us who value reason.

  • @ClumsyRoot Satan himself couldn't have said it better...

  • @rustysruger

    Why, thank you. :)

  • Very good video. While I believe there is something to meditation (it's in the Bible), I don't think we need to follow other religious ideas of this idea. We need to continue to speak out against this false doctrine creeping into the Church.

  • This video is why people think Christians suck. This video is soooooo juvenile. All I hear is hate.

  • @onebadgs400 I think Religion sucks. Christians aren't all bad. And Jesus is a myth PS.

  • @djdanaman Reliion is something that many people do not like. The idea to contend with is who is Jesus? No one, not even atheist scholars, argue that Jesus did indeed live. John, Peter, etc. were convinced that Jesus was the Christ, and that he rose from the dead. You might want to read the gospel of John and then see what you think of who Jesus is. May God Bless your search.

  • @djdanaman Please... save the 'Jesus myth' nonsense for the next Dan Brown novel...

  • @djdanaman Yup Religion sucks, and Christians are all in Babylon doing there Christ-mass, Easter pagan ways. Jesus is a pagan name too! His real name is Yahushua in Hebrew. The Roman Catholic Church started ALL these religions, not Yahushua.

  • What is Christian meditation?

Answer: The biblical passages that use the phrase "Christian meditation" are few. Both words "meditate" and "meditation" are found about eighteen times in the Old Testament. There are basically two Hebrew words which are translated "meditate," found in Genesis 24:63; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2; 63:6; 77:12; 119:15, 23, 48, 148; and 143:5.

  • This is the first I heard of Hinduism affecting the Catholic Church. I assumed its occult came out of Babylon and Sumeria like cults of Jewish scripture. It began to affect protestant churches in the USA around the turn of the century [18-19] when Hindu influence sought not to exchange Christianity but to make a 'better' and 'more inclusive' Christianity in its place; reducing God Father to 'useless idol' or worse, hinderance to progression to a more universal state. Very smooth...Yikes!

  • It's neo-Catholicism

  • Y'know God don't give points for ferreting wrong or pointing out flaws. Where is intercessory prayer for these guys? If they're deceived, we should have concern to knock those deceptive spirits off of them. It won't make moral decisions for them, but it will silence voices telling them the things they preach are true - perhaps long enough to wake to repentance. We owe it to them when verbal correction is ineffective.

  • @kandiamo While I may not agree with your first statement about not pointing out others' errors (so long as it is done gently), I must say that your exhortation for us to pray for them and for ourselves is quite humbling indeed.

On another topic, where would the Desert Fathers have experienced Buddhism or Hinduism like Mr. Silva claimed?

  • @JFMello1116 Ferreting wrong in others is what we do best! Some make it a ministry, while forgiving themselves and condemning others. Even the lamest Christian doesn't wake up saying, "I'm going to aggravate God today." It usually comes from some spirit deception telling them a new way to serve God.

Prayerlessness is reason one for lax effectiveness of the Church. We love elegant correction on multiple occasion because we get to be the one to point it out. Otherwise, prayer would come 1st

  • ROFL, I love the anti-evolution advertisement about dinosaurs. I am almost shat myself laughing when they quoted scripture to prove their position: well god created animals on day 6. Wow, that certainly proves it. I guess all those scientists were wrong. lol

  • Unless you read Hebrew, and have access to copies of the ancient scriptures, don't talk to me about scriptures because its all hearsay.

  • @Not2Sane I read Hebrew and except for some nuances, the core message remains the same.

God wouldn't leave something so life threatening as missing Salvation to something as intellectually specific as language. I cringe sometimes at poor translation, but the core message is there in nearly all of them - that only Messiah is sent by God and only Messiah is able to lead into Salvation from God's wrath. The rest is explaining what that means to human beings.

  • i think rob bell sounds gay, is he a homosexual?

  • We need to thank God for Bell.

  • do you guiys not know that all these guys are working for the Mother Church? They are reallywolf in sheep clothing. Wake up people.

  • The radio host might want to also research some other cherished "christian" beliefs and celebrations that are NOT biblical such as Sunday worship, Christmas,Easter, Halloween, New Years, Lent, the so-called 'trinity", and immortal "souls" that go to either 'heaven" or "hell" at death. All of these are PAGAN ideas borrowed by the Roman Catholic,(and by extension Protestant) "churches" from ancient Roma, Greece, Egypt, and Babylon.

  • @MrKurt1962 Greetings... I like what you said about orthodox forms of worship being borrowed from paganism. For my part, I believe that when Rome annexed the church, that was the beginning of the apostasy referred to in Thessalonians and Revelation, and furthermore, the protestant churches (et al) merely continued the apostate tradition with a little adjustment. It's hard to understand the "Kingdom", and the state of the church today vs. the biblical church without acknowledging that. God bless!

  • I think it is folly and narrow-mindedness to believe that in order to be Christian you have to be western/conservative/evangelical/etc/ad nauseum... culture is irrelevant. I don't know why I'm commenting to you. You won't listen. Blind, pride, critical, divisive. Of course you are the only one who knows the truth because God values you over others, and therefore reveals to you while deceiving everyone else. So as soon as everyone comes to submit to your version of truth all will be well!

  • @dostol3701 ,,,

The point is,, Rob Bell is teaching a different gospel. The Bible condemns anyone who teaches a different Gospel..

Biblical truth is Gods truth to Christians. Ummm,,, western/conservative/evangelical/etc/ad nauseum... culture is irrelevant??? Is Rob bell western/conservative/evangelical/etc,,, who's into the non-Christian religions of different cultures?

I hear there's a world religion coming that includes all religions,, but you have to deny Jesus as Lord to join..

  • @Rob187ok I visited your channel.... as I suspected, your approach to religion is based on fear. I know as I write this that you won't understand. But I hope you move forward, and towards God, because He values you. That is the gospel. It is more than just forgiveness, although that is a big part of it. It is the story of God's love. Lay off Rob Bell dude, and all the others you're fighting with, judging by the content of your page. He isn't preaching a different gospel. You are.

  • @dostol3701 ,You're right,, I don't understand why you say my approach to religion is based on fear. If you're on about fearing God (not men or evil) then I agree with you, and we must fear God for our own good. The fear of God is very important if we want to overcome sin. Just 1 example- 2 Corinthians 7:1- ,,,,, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The gospel teaches us the importance of fearing God dude.

  • @dostol3701, Should we not warn the Church about those who're subtly introducing the evils of Eastern mysticism? Low level Eastern mysticism is one way of sneaking New age Luciferianism into the Church. Eastern Mysticism is spiritually aliened with New Age Luciferianism and both are diametrically opposed to true Biblically based Christianity. The big fat lie is that we'll become as gods, the lie that Satan told Eve which led to the first Human sin, our separation from God and all our suffering.

  • @dostol3701,,,Take a look at the following if you're interested. ,,,"New Age Mind Control Cults 1-13". I just found it and it's got some great info. Thanks.

  • @Rob187ok I really do appreciate that you took three posts to reply. I'm still reluctant to engage you on your level, though. I'm sorry if that's insulting. The content of your channel, along with you comments, reveal to me a person who is basically fear driven. I honestly don't think I can get you to listen because you probably fear that I'm your enemy, like you do Rob Bell and the others you demonize. You are, in the biblical tongue, a fault-finder. Divider. You must want to change that first.

  • @Rob187ok Just Like the unfortunate host of this video we're comment-threading. Ugh. Who are you afraid of? Is someone out to get you? Mind control? Really? Aye Carumba! And no... we shouldn't warn the church about anything further than their own apostasy. That they have forsaken the Kingdom of God for the world's kingdom, wholesale. Ugh I've already said too much. Sorry and good luck to you.

  • Rob Bell was teaching people to breathe, that madman. Even to breathe calmly, and suggested that we should think deeply? He's obviously a warlock and, through radical ideas like thinking about who you believe in instead of going with your God given gut, is trying to lead us away from Jesus. I'm not saying I agree with Rob Bell on every single issue but I don't think that's the point. I think it's very, very dark to monopolize truth like you're esoteric. So proud, just like Jesus wanted right 9_9

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Samuel 15:3 "3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys. ” I especially like the CAMEL part. THAT is GOD`s blueprint for a fast victory, slaughter every last human. Which is what I told you before is the way to win, then you get angry. I am just agreeing with Jesus Daddy. A God obviously smarter than the peace-nik hiipie kid.

  • @luvcheney1

"THAT is GOD`s blueprint for a fast victory, slaughter every last human"

    The fruit of your tree.

    Rotten to the core.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Go read, look up Samuel 15:3 yourself, he says for them to go kill everybody, even the women and children. How do you think WW1, WW2 were won? By just trying to kill Nazi`s? Just Jap soldiers? No. Killing everyone. Carpet bombing cities in Europe, killing everything. Hiroshima. Reality.

  • @luvcheney1

"Go read, look up Samuel 15:3 yourself, he says for them to go kill everybody, even the women and children"

Ever heard of Jesus? The fact that you think God directs us to kill his creaton in His Name proves you should be ignored, your thinking is so base you prove your evil heart day after day. AS I said 2 months ago. DO you ever prove that you know Love?? Do you ever prove that youi know God? No, you vainly call Jesus a pussy who is less than Henery Ford.

    Heathen hater.

  • @luvcheney1

"No. Killing everyone. Carpet bombing cities in Europe, killing everything. Hiroshima. Reality. "

The very predacious concepts of white superiority, taking over countries in "god"s name CAUSED the poverty and unstability that led to BOTH WW1 & 2.

Death and desimation of humanity in your wake, NEVER claim that in God's name!

Your need to "kill everyone" proves the state of your soul.

If the light which is in you is darkness, how deep is that darkness?

    Sheer black.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Hope, the first family in the Bible was Adam and Eve, they had 2 kids, and one killed the other. War is as common as the sun rising. Preaching against war is as stupid as complaining about the sun rising and setting. BTW, the word is DECIMATION, not "desimation". One of its meanings is to TAX 10%. Horrors! You are pissed at 49%!

  • "Preaching against war is as stupid " luvcheney

"Love your enemies. Bless those who persecute you. If your enemy is hungry feed him" Jesus Christ

"Hate your enemies. Bomb those who persecute you. If your enemy is hungry carpet bomb his neighborhood. Starve out the bastard" Republican jesus

Take it up with Him on that day.

You are a worshipper of a false god, Republican jesus.

AS I said 2 months ago.

Every word you wrote proved me right.

    Good luck, Hope!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow I just stated a fact, war is reality, throughout history. In the Bible too.

  • "“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ " Matt 25

Be warned... again. May you have eyes that will see.

  • "34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’MAtt 25

  • @HopeForPeaceNow EXACTLY. Charity, not Govt. The Bible promotes CHARITY, not Govt. support, in fact, the Bible blames lack of charity, not lack of Govt.

  • @luvcheney1

Tell us, how it is the middle class can pay for the burden of the poor once they own the VAST MINORITY of our total wealth?

How is it that the wealthy who use their power to remove the wealth of the poor, through Conservative economic policy, should have NO responsibility to the destruction of lives THEY perpetrate??

  • Today the child poverty rate in America is second only to Mexico.

Over 42 million of us live under the poverty level.

Lets see the church feed ALL the poor we already have, EVEN WITH the government assitance we have now.... they have not done this...

... what will happen once you remove all aide, when that 42 million look to the church for foof, clothing and shalter??

You can't feed the poor we have now, especially as we all get poorer in the 80%, HOW will you feed millions more????

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Liberals KNOW if you tax the hell out of cigarettes, whiskey, you REDUCE use of it. Just as you tax work, production, investment, you also get LESS of those positive behaviors. Subsidize housing with mortgage interest deductions, you increase demand, ownership of homes, and if you subsidize those who do NOT work, you get MORE folks not working. Federal Policy is to INCREASE rates of poverty. The Poor vote for stupidity.

  • "The Poor vote for stupidity."

How deep is your theory of hate?

In fact, the Elite whom you love, are the cause of poverty. Blaming the victim is your forte.

The same blame will be on your head on that Day.

The evil that creates war, poverty, hate, sorrow, predation, desimation, indoctrination, rape, death by fire and bombs... lives well in you.

In you, and yours, it continues.

Obvious, in clear daylight, with pride, you cling to your hate and lies.

    Your day comes.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Govt, and YOU know that subsidies to Chevy Volt will increase sales. Subsidies to poor will increase the amount of poor. Put tax on soda pop, and they will buy less, tax work, investment, production you will get less too. YOU are perverse to make more poor!

  • "No. Killing everyone. Carpet bombing cities in Europe, killing everything. Hiroshima. Reality. " luvcheney

You are a perfect son of your father, a perfect example of the degradation taught by Republican jesus.

The product of the traditions of men which are without power.

  • @luvcheney1

Woe unto you. You love to store up treasure, to kill the poor, to burn to death the innocent. To watch rape with approval.

Leave your hate and find the Light.

Or burn with the same fire you have procured for the innocent.

  • "Tend the least of these or you may not enter my Kingdon" Jesus The Christ

"Reject the least of these as lazy and vote Republican, or you may not enter my Kingdom" Republican jesus

    "Love your enemy" JC

"Occupy your enemies land for profit" Rj

"If you see your enemy is hungry, feed him" JC

"If you see your enemy is hungry, strategically cut off all supply lines and starve him out" Rj

    "Love your neighbor" JC

    "Love your neighbor's stuff" Rj

    Blasphemy.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow 1 Samuel 15:3 "3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. A God obviously smarter than the peace-nik hiipie kid

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Luke 12:29-31 29 "And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well." God KNOWS we need resources, go ahead, use them, dont worry about it.

  • @luvcheney1

    "But seek his kingdom".

Storing up wealth and hating the poor is not "His Kingdom". No matter how long you try to deny it, you can not store up treasure on Earth.

That may be just the hippie Son talking, but he is God...

... and You wil face Him.

  • "Pagen" Enilightened ones generally teach Jesus more accurately than legalist Conservatives.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow 1 Samuel 8:15-17, "He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle2 and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves." Warning from God, accept a tenth to taxation, you becomes SLAVES.

  • @luvcheney1

My point is Conservatives teach a jesus, as we see here, who denies the least of these. Who occupied for control of resources, who accumulates wealth, who favors the rich as blessed and hates the poor as lazy. And who LIES pathologically.

I have quoted scripture after scripture to luvcheney, he, well taught by the likes of y'all, refuses Jesus The Christ, saying he likes OT God better, the one who kills babies.

This is the fruit of your tree. Rotten.

    As I said.

  • God is only logically a verb not a noun.

  • I am against the Emergent Church and its movement, yet - to a certain extent - I have empathy for those who joined this movement. They are tired of hearing the Sunday school answers; they are tired of Bible verses being thrown at them; they are tired of being told if you don't vote a certain way every single time, then you might not be a real Christian. If "mainstream Protestant churches" want to know why people are dropping out, they only have to look in the mirror.

  • @mrmah85 Well said!

  • So Conservatives, who support the deaths of 500,000 innocent Iraqis, who support the end of all aide for the poor (Don't feed the poor, it makes them lazy), who support leaders who lie day after day (G Beck) and CALL themselves "Christian", who support wealth for the wealthy and poverty for the poor... THESE represent Jesus..

... but, if you breathe during prayer or don't condemn gay people...

    ..you are "dangerous"??

Jesus, save us from your followers!

    AND SAVE your Followers!!!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow I would like to suggest that in order to actually win a war, such as WW!, or WW2, you have to kill a very, very large number of innocent civilians. Our problem, since Korea, is that we do not kill enough. Unless the slaughter is so huge, so terrible, the population doesnt capitulate. The issue is, do not fight a war, unless you are willing to kill massive amounts of civilians, who cause the warring sector to lose support from their own population.

  • " Our problem, since Korea, is that we do not kill enough"

Is THAT something JESUS would say??

You damn yourself in your own words.

With no clue at all as to what your saying.

You are a perfect example of the hideous brainwashing taking place in the name of Republican jesus.

    Blasphemer.

Yea, we DIDN"T KILL ENOUGH innocent people in Iraq??

  • Lets leave YOU off in Bagdad with an American flag taped to your head and SEE how you feel about killing innocents when the innocent is YOU!

"Do unto other as you would have them do unto you" THE ORIGINAL JESUS

If the US had THEIR oil under OUR sand and THEY occupied and killed 500,000 INNOCENT Americans.... would you still say the same thing?? You wanna see YOUr children with their limbs blown off so ARABS can have cheap oil??

PATHETIC, DISGUSTING PROOF WHO Conservatives SERVE!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow If you are going to have a war, you ought to win it. And yes, I most certainly prefer our enemies dead, and the civilians they hide among. WW2 ended because we bombed EVERYTHING. Homes, apartments, schools, hospitals, orphanages.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Conservatives don't want the poor to get no help.

We just believe in helping them ourselves rather than passing laws that force other people to help them while we do nothing.

  • @shamgar001

In fact, the Conservative platform is to removal all public aide.

Look up Allen West as example.

Republican jesus teaches, "Donl;t feed the poor, it makes them lazy".

Total cost today to clothe, house and feed the poor is over 12 Billion.

Total charity given in 2009 was $3 billion.

Y'all are going to have to raise the tithe to 30%.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

You need to learn the difference between society and government. Just because I think the government should do anything doesn't mean I don't want it done at all.

"Republican Jesus" teaches "If you want to help the poor, donate your own money, time and talents."

"Liberal Jesus" teaches "If you want to help the poor, go use violence to force other people to give. You don't have to actually help them yourself."

  • @shamgar001

People would give more to charity if they thought of help the poor as an individual mandate rather a government one. (Incidentally, Conservatives give more money to charity that liberals.)

Jesus said to "Give to Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

Does charity for the poor belong to the government (Caesar) or the church (God)?

  • @shamgar001

Total cost of public benefits (housing, clothing, food, healthcare) is over $13 Billion.

Total of all charity given in 2008 was $3.7 Billion.

Y'all got a long way to go.

The basic issue is all the wealth staganates on top, causing poverty. 20% of us own 93% of all financial wealth and add .12% more every year. This COnservatives support 100%, if you speak of it, you are called a communist.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow If you want to help poor people, you get to work, and get your church involved. YOU do something.

Do you not see how the law works? You tell people that the MUST people the poor, and if they don't you will throw them in jail. Where in the Bible does it say you can use guns and violence to make someone act righteously?

If you want people to care for the poor, stop government programs that just create resentment and class division, and focus on getting people to help by FREE WILL.

  • @shamgar001 The government doesn't discriminate between the genuinely lazy (and they do exist) and those who really need help; the government wastes money with unnecessary administration, the government gets its money through force and encourages class hatred. Private charities are more effective that government in every way, and people would give more to charity if the government would just get out of the way.

  • @shamgar001 "The government doesn't discriminate between the genuinely lazy (and they do exist) and those who really need help"

    1) Where does Jesus say, "interview the poor before your feed them. If you find them lazy, send them away" Please??

    2) How do you propose the church will a) make sure people work for the charity they recieve b) weed out the "lazy" ones?

Again, you are going to have to UP the tithe. You will need to at least triple current charity, as personal wealth decreases!

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Deuteronomy 15:4 “There should be no poor among you, for the Lord your God will greatly bless you in the land he is giving you as a special possession." True! I have helped, 100`s of illegals go from nothing, to over $800/ week in 2 years. From a min wage job at $8, then 2 $8 jobs at 65 hrs/wk, and 2 years later two $13/hr jobs at $850 wk. Yet still, inner cities full of "POOR"? God said he would bless us, we would be prosperous, but YOU want them dependent, against God`s will!

  • @luvcheney1

" “There should be no poor among you,"

Yet our poverty rate rises as the Elite, whom you love and support, remove the ewalth of the middle class.

Poverty rises with your help, and all Conservative "christians" who love the rich over the poor.

Again, cheney, once you call Jesus a pussy, your further opinions reveal no value.

FROM THE ABUNDANCE OF YOUR HEART, YOUR MOUTH SPEAKS.

  • @luvcheney1

"God said he would bless us, we would be prosperous, "

    Jesus said "Blessed are poor"???

You cling to OT God and reject the teachings of Jesus CHrist. Like all on your ranks.

  • @shamgar001 The simple truthis the total wealth of the middle class is slowly being removed by the Elite.

In 2007 the top 20% owned 91% of total financial wealth.

    In 2009 they owned 93%.

Less and less resources for more and more people causes poverty. The position of the "right" is to support the wealthies right to remove the vast majority of the wealth, then leave the poor to tend the poor. By your definition, those who cause poverty have no responsibility to the poor they create.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Deuteronomy 25:15, "15A full and fair[a] weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have,(A) that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you." God`s case against fiat money.

  • @shamgar001 Are you actually proposing I don't know the diffrence between siciety and the government. That is basically calling me stupid.

No, in fact, the "personal responsibility" doctrine (did you look up Allen West?) is prevelant in Conservative theology. Explained often as "Don't take my $ and give it top lazy people". I

"go use violence to force other people to give"

How many voilent pacifist/progressives do you know? That truly was silly.

  • @HopeForPeaceNow

As of today, America's child poverty rate is second only to Mexico in developed countries... if you can't feed the poor we have now, how do you think you will feed the new 44 milllion removing gov aide will leave at your doorstep?

  • @HopeForPeaceNow Yesterday I saw Marion Barry interviewed ( the black Dem, pinko, ex mayor of black pinko Wash DC ) and he stated he had "learned from experience", that welfare, AFDC, TANF "enslaves people generation after generation, through welfare, poverty, and dependency on Government". He said he was at a meeting 2 days ago, and "Blacks wanted to change the system, but "WHITE ADVOCATES" want to keep it, to enslave us." I have a DVR, I took notes, for you, the ENSLAVER.

  • @luvcheney1 " that welfare, AFDC, TANF "enslaves people generation after generation, through welfare, poverty, and dependency on Government". "

So, here we go.... here is a representative of REPUBLICAN JESUS... one who has told me:

    1) The Bible is in error because gold does not corrode 2) Jesus is a pussy with fewer accomplishements than Henry Ford

    3) sweatshops are beneficial

    4) Charity is worthless

THAT is the level of understanding Conservative "christainity" produces.

  • Rob Bell is pure blasphemy! Plain and simple.

  • rofl, it is a little late for hindus to be ticked off about people stealing yoga.

  • i don't like this, or the attacking words on someone that's leading people to Christ...

  • The Yoga reference is a metaphor not a direct reference to hinduism.

  • you fundies are hilarious. you think you have the only outlet for truth. you are dead wrong. i hope you go the ways of the dinosaurs.

  • But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

  • @classicalday2002 This has a good point, and remember this is also true within the Christian faith as a whole. Which was also the intent of Timothy's original warning.

  • @heylelshalem Oh you mean- by a supernatural event into the hands of the creator- well so do I

  • All stories of gods and religions are plagiarized from the Egyptians who used anthropomorphism as metaphors for the movement of the sun and stars 5000 years ago. Wake up people, you've been duped.

  • @sethplummer The Bible is far and above more complex and inexplicable than your basic view on it

  • This new spirituality is a way to lead christians away from God. Remember Deuteronomy 13: 5And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

  • While I understand the dangers of Yoga, and the cautions of the Emergent Church movement, I feel that in this clip of Rob Bell he wasn't physically teaching them Yoga in church, he was describing the practice of Yoga as a metaphor for our walk with God...keeping our connection to God constant no matter what position we find ourselves in life. In these examples he is merely using examples in his sermons that common people can relate to.

  • @WJUStudent Again...well-said.

  • If you do the stretches that the yogis use but don't think about God when you do it, it's not worship...it's physical exercise. Whenever I have tried yoga stretches for my back pain, I have turned the sound down on the video and just followed the movements. Same with Tai Chi movements. Yeah, Rob Bell is confused and in error but yoga stretches are good for relieving back pain and it has nothing to do with the mind or religion. It's physical exercise for the body.

  • The current condition of the church equals that of ancient Israel. Ancient Isael built the "high places", (Ezekiel chapter 6, and Lev. 26) These high places equals the false doctrines and gospels of our day in the church. They went after the god's of the heathen nations. This has been happening to the church today.

    go to "wecanknow" website

  • Eze 7:24 I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will make also the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled. It happened to ancient Israel, and it is happening again today.

Where did the church go wrong? Look back at ancient Israel who typifies todays church. Read 1 Kgs 12:28-31 & 1 Kgs 13:33,34 ; Also Ez 7:24

    The final tribulation May 22, 1988 to May 21, 2011 (8400 days or 23 years) 23 = judgment, 1Cor 10:7 Go to "wecanknow"

  • "You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. " James 2:20-23

  • @SHEEPinWOLFskin "You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim(G-d), and the faith of messiah YAHUsha." Revelation 14:12

  • Uncertain fanatics labeling that which they do not understand in order to crystalize their own sophistry.

  • Revelation tells us there will be 2 churches during the end times: 1) the false, worldly church which, according to Isaiah, confesses the name of the Lord with their lips but their hearts are far from him, and 2) the true church which worships the Lord in "spirit and in truth". When the rapture occurs, only the second church will be taken. This is probably why the world will not realize it when the rapture occurs; they'll say, "Well the church is still here so the rapture hasn't happened."

  • Read the (thomas) Jefferson bible - good stuff

  • love wins

  • Not all christians are following for this new age crap! Most christian don't read their bibles and are gulible unfortunately!

  • Rob affirms God's truth where ever he finds it. Whether it's in meditation or yoga or anything else. God's truth is there, woven into the fabric of everything. It's a matter of getting past the cultural filters, getting dirty and uncovering that truth. This woman, like a lot of modern conservative Christians, hold on to dogma and from that, cast judgment. This isn't 'new spirituality'. It's God. The same one that's been there since the beginning of time and will continue to be forever.

  • @NK0TB Really? Says who?

  • @gtrjunky says him. and those, like myself, that were aware of the controversy surrounding him and upon prayer and an objective listen to his teachings, found nothing really objectionable regarding his beliefs.

  • @NK0TB Now, the question is...who says that God is "woven into the fabric of everything"??? I don't see pantheism taught anywhere in God's ONLY word, the bible.

  • @NK0TB You see, there are principles throughout scripture that show clearly that God does not share His glory with any other gods or honor man made inventions, of which would be pagan practices like "yoga". If God wanted us to practice this then He would have instructed us to do so like He did with baptism and communion.

  • @gtrjunky i understand what you mean. but yoga is, in it's original sense, a religion in and of itself. it's the intent behind it that makes it so. if i calm my mind and even my breath and meditate..sit quietly, in prayer, with my mind on Christ. what's wrong with that. and this 'yoga' without it's religious and spiritual context, is simply stretching.

  • @NK0TB This idea that truth is a free for all and everbody's "opinions" are valid is not how the bible defines "unity". Secondly, Yoga may help a person have an "experience" about their own "god" but since there is no biblical presidence for it, then there is no promise from God that He is blessing it.

  • @gtrjunky i'm not saying that all opinions are valid. i have a concrete point of view about the universe, founded in Christ. And if I want to go to a yoga class on a Saturday to stretch and take care of my body, then so be it. I know what I believe, I know where my salvation stands. There's no biblical presidence for most things in this modern world we live in. Does that mean that God isn't at work in and through them?

  • @NK0TB Where does His word tell us to practice these things as a means of drawing closer to Him?

  • @gtrjunky He doesn't! But the Bible doesn't speak of gardening or running marathons or painting as ways to draw closer to him. doesn't mean that one can't find joy and spiritual connection with the Lord in those activities. Our relationship with the Lord is as individual as we are. How they manifest themselves is as unique as we are. As long as Jesus and the salvation he provided is our rock. I don't understand the big deal..

  • @NK0TB Please don't offer "Rob Bell defends his church" as an apologetic for him nor his Nooma video "You" either. There is no gospel present there at all. He may use the terminology but the definition has been changed. In fact, Bell propogates the "Mithra" story in that video which is totally debunked in Lee Strobel's book "The case for the real Jesus".

  • @gtrjunky this is ridiculous. i'm not going to continue defending myself or Rob Bell to you. I really don't care. I'm certain where I stand in my faith and that's all I can control. I've had no reason for concern with Rob Bell specifically. I can't speak to others. And if I ever came across something not Christ affirming in his teachings, I'd reject it. Anyways, good debate on the topic though.

  • @NK0TB I know you don't care, none of his followers do. (2 Timothy 4:3,4)

  • @gtrjunky yeah, you're showing your true colors. when it comes down to it, i stand alone in judgment. i don't follow Rob Bell, I follow Jesus Christ. You're make Christians look like judgmental assholes.

  • @NK0TB The present church age shall indeed end in apostasy rather than ending with the church conquering the whole world. The apostasy has already taken its firm stranglehold in the church by successfully leading the church away from doctrinal and moral standards that were once the fixed, unchangeable anchors of Biblical absolutes. Apostasy has always been categorized as a departure from faith in God's revealed word, and also a sound understanding of that word.

  • @NK0TB I love the irony of how many of Bell's worshippers usually resort to name calling and foul language to show their..."true colors".

  • @gtrjunky ? i was done with this conversation a couple days ago. thanks for re-posting though.
