And what of their record on increasing sentences for felony convictions? Oh right, they voted no...or most of them were'nt interested. And as you can see, more of these "mayors" are getting caught red handed doing dirt. Makes you think who are they REALLY trying to protect, the scumbags...or themselves?
Rest assured of this, if a policeman finds a gun in your house on one of these very, very unconstitutional searches, he'll take it, illegal or legally owned. Then you'll have hell getting back even if you obtained it legally, and can clearly prove it.
This isn't about illegal gun seizure, it's about testing the people to see if they are dumbed-down enough to give up their rights.
This is also about conniving, thieving politicians in Washington worried about getting their asses shot!

In principle I don't see a problem with requiring all transfers of firearms be done through a FFL to ensure they aren't sold to prohibited persons. On the other hand, even with such a law, there's nothing to stop people from selling to prohibited possessors, and more law here tends to serve as a ratchet against people's rights. Take the NFA weapons, first they were regulated, then the list closed, now only the rich can afford them. Every-day citizens are essentially prohibited.

It's not a 'loophole'.
It's the fact that a citizen can sell a firearm to another citizen in a private sale, without a background check.
Like how I can sell you a car, but I don't have to be a licensed car dealership.
