Nowroz, yes he is a kurd and Kurds are our brave brothers with a very deep culture. Kurds are a very important branch of Iranic people. Kurds and Persians speak a very very similar language and both celebrate Nowruz which proves they are our brothers. However the international name of 'Iran' was persia before 1935 therefore still many foreigners call iranians as persians. By the way most of the songs Nazeri sings here are Farsi and he lives in Tehran. Biji Kurdestan, Zendeh bashi Iran.
