When they were making the pirates of the carribean ride , there was a man named George and he was working on the lighthouse in the city on fire scene when he fell to his death .. The cast members believe tht George is the ghost tht haunts the ride .. George causes the malfunctions supposubly and they've seen a shadows around the ride.. Plus I've witnessed it myself . My mom was a cast member there and I went to pick her up with my pops after closing time and I heard tapping on the rail Thts on

@KilasuYama Some of the boats don't get riders due to the timing of the ride, and people on the ride at the time. It happens all the time.

It is! this was the original, and the largest of the POTCs. I find WDWs one to be kinda short, and crammed (like the scenes are much closer to you.)

actually the last time i went on it they actually expanded it cause the first time i wanted to go on it the ride was closed for constuction. the next time we went the ride was open so we went on it i compared it to the time i went on the one in disneyland disneyland has more of the singing pirates more than anything and the disneyland one doesn't have the biiiig drop at the end

It may be possible that one of the newer cast members accidently turned the ride's sights off, but kept the ride itself operating. Example: Did you notice that the boats where still moving, even though the auto-animaltronics where off?

But it looks really cool! I mean, accually seeing the sights with the lights on sounds really cool, I bet Disney did it on purpose once or twice for a convention or two. Everything looks really awsome when the lights are on, even if it spoils the surprize. XD

Thanks for sharing, I am sure that it must have been really creepy without sound for those scenes. However, it is more like Disney's original idea of the wax museum of pirates.
