This behaviour from the English really is starting to annoy me, and a lot of it recently is because of Frankie Boyles statements on Mock the Week. Recently an English friend of mine claimed that when he came up here to visit he saw 10 heroine dealers randomly dealing around glasgow, I've lived here for all my life I've been offered to buy twice.

We did however drive straight through Glasgow as it look a bit rough and i come from Croydon. Haha. Is there a massive council estate somewhere in Glasgow as i have a feeling that's the way we came into the city, its kinda like Sheffield when you come in you think christ almighty what am i doing here. The only other bad thing was the midgies raped my face...

@G1NZOU They aren't even legal in Scotland... English bank notes of denomination less than 5UKP were legal tender in Scotland under Currency and Bank Notes Act 1954. Now, with the removal of BoE 1UKP notes, only coins constitute legal tender in Scotland. English bank notes are only legal tender in England, Wales, The Channel Islands + the Isle of Man. In Scotland, £1 coins are legal tender to any amount, 20ps + 50ps are legal tender up to 10 pounds; 10p + 5ps to 5 pounds & 2p + 1p coins to 20p

I work in IKEA in England, we accept Scottish notes but I did some research and found that if I wanted I would be within my rights to refuse it.

I wouldn't though, I think they look pretty cool.

No. you wouldn't. for the scot who's money you refused would then be within his or her rights to go straight to the nearest lawyer & sue your company for discrimination. scottish money says on it, e.g. "£5/10/20 etc STERLING" that word "sterling" is what makes scottish notes "legal tender" the length & breadth of the SUPPOSED uk.

In a restaurant, you've already eaten the meal so there's a debt to be paid to the establishment.

Scottish money does not legally have to be acceped as payment of said debt yet Bank of England notes are legal tender so the establishment cannot refuse it as payment.
