  • i love it

  • willow smith had Chicago Footwork in her Fireball video At 1:08 and 1:30 and 4:13

the Footworkers you see are the Footworkingz .Madonna song Celebration is Juke music/Footwork Madonna had the Footworkingz in her Celebration video and she took the Footworkingz on her sticky and sweet tour and she Footwork with them.Missy Elliot Lose control song is juke music and the dancers in the video are Chicago Footworking the choreographer is from Chicago her name is blair she run a group call fulleffect

  • Planet Mu are 'keeping an eye' on me - email I got back from them from my demo <3

  • just sounds like bass-junkies work from years and years ago....music is going backwards

  • Roland TR-808's everywhere!

  • Filthy bass

  • @tunergui The more time passes, the more your comment bugs me. Could you over-simplify the issue a little more please?

  • @tunergui Except I think race and culture enhance my musical experience. To say that music is without race maybe robbing music of something.

  • @tunergui That's ultimately how I feel too. I was addressing some earlier comments.

  • i'm high and this is amazing

  • Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I like this video and plan to merge it's rhythmic with my own work in a different musical style. P.S. I'm white.

  • I love the whole "white people copy black people's music" argument. I'm trying to think of a genre of music that exploded after someone played sound effects on top of a Kraftwerk album. Hmmm... Oh yeah. Hip Hop. Ever wonder why old Negro spirituals sounded like white gospel music and not like African music. Hip hop moguls with classical orchestration. I could go on and on. Music is culture and cultures mix. Merging musical tastes and styles is what's best about music imo.

  • @FrankBumbershootEsq why does it matter its music and to me music has no race... point blank period

  • Crazy... this stuff reminds me when I first started messing around with production. Anyone else get an early AFX vibe off some of these tracks?

  • This is one some next level shit... Great music to get real high to.

  • massive big ups from england, i've only just discovered this from british artists having there own go at it. Its amazing. Keep releasing :D

  • lol ghetto tech is more relevant in detroit i take it back lol

  • house and ghetto tech is from chicago... not detroit

  • @martianwarlordtv alright homie. first of all, I never said ghettotech is a kind of dance. i just said it's from detroit. and anybody with eyes can see that juking with a girl is different than footwurkin as a battle with a dude (though there are skilled women that footwork too). but yeah, the jit vs. footworkin thing has been a conflict for the longest, tho you talk about them both with respect which is nice. #stopthetrollinandhelpeachother peace to you

  • like all dance music to fully appreciate the style you need to know the dance. since footworkin is a battle style there are less youtube tuts than other styles. but they are out there. its silly to say something isnt "musical" because its minimal in some way or another. musicians have conversations through music. if you jump into the middle of the conversation you may not understand the context.

  • @sphyramid this music is footworking music, which is an outgrowth of juke. juke is an outgrowth of ghettohouse (all from chicago). juking is a different dance...and is more about talented, beautiful females IMO. ghettotech is from detroit. there are similarities, but the major separation is when it draws on techno (detroit) rather than house music (chicago). to learn more about juke, check out this ill doc called GHETTO TRACKS on ruben fleischer's site: ruben DOT fm ( under short films)

  • @devinkk - there's juking as a style of grinding and theres juke/footworkin the battle style. juke means dance and there are juke styles from all around the USA. Ghettotech is not a dance style. Jit is the Detroit dance style that has been around since the 70s - its a battle style with fast footwork that gets compared to chi footworkin but is completely differant - it has drops, smooth routines, and upperbody movements. Both ghetto tech and techno are highly influenced by chi house music.

  • man why all the white this white that on the comments? what if white ppl do like this? only a few will ever find it and like it.

  • to bad whites copycat everything we do and take credit

  • Super cool!

  • isnt this just ghettotech or juke? whats the difference between these 3 genres? it seems like "footwork" has different, some times halftime, snare placement.

  • Hopefully White Hipsters will stay the Fuck away from Footwork and let it grow naturally.

  • @jasonbigelow NEVER!!!!

  • @sphyramid I agree,i think Footwork-much like Baltimore club music-is far too regional too ever blow up on a national/global level. Which isn't too say that white hipsters won't find it-I'm white, but i know if i was DJing and played any of this, people would just hate, because they're not familiar with it.

  • @jasonbigelow actually what i meant was white hipsters (im white too) will always be influenced by the work of blacks. imagine if white people never got into jazz? though they did rape it a little, a lot of great music wouldn't exist if whites didn't borrow ideas from blacks.

can you think of an example of a genre let to "grow naturally"?

NOT trying to be rude i really enjoy this discussion:) btw can you describe the difference between footwork, ghettotech, and juke? because i can't lol thanks!

  • Some of the more cool stuff around!

  • It's debatable whether electronica/ techo/ drum and bass is pure music even though Adam F makes it sound like pure heaven.... But this this goes no where and doesn't even resemble music... My ears hurt now

  • @tpstrat14 dekhead

  • @tpstrat14 u r baba!

  • @PolosatiyKot this is not music and you know it

  • @tpstrat14 sorry, but i can't agree with u) i'm from Russia and it's very difficult to me to argue with u here) so, I just ask u to find the meaning of the word "music" in dictionaries and find the right answer)

and, if u really baba, u can think that juke isn't music, but u can't argue, that it's a sound, and the most today music - it's a sound to.
