jag har också letat överallt efter den, jag pausade filmen vid hennes telefon och då ser man att det är en sony ericsson xperia av något slag. Har dock inte hittat den exakta modellen men en xperia är det allt.

we livei n the dutch part of Belgium and we ALWAYS see films with the original voices and subtitles. ITs stupid to put other languages over the real voice of a person. But it would also be stupid to make a whole new version of this great movie. I wonder if Lisbeth could ever be so greatly if she was played by some american actress.

In the book it is quite clear that she is 24 but looks some 10 years younger. But this actresse looks 10 years older!!

Så är det, såg en intervju med den danska regissören (någonstans på youtube) där han säger att "större delen" av finansieringen är skattepengar. Sedan så har jag sett någonstans att Nordisk Film sponsrar den - exakt vad det innebär vet jag inte. Men i Sverige finns också Filminstitutet som är en ganska obskyr verksamhet där man ger FILMSTÖD och det redovisas inte öppet till vad och hur mycket - i vilket fall är det inte lätt att hitta den informationen.

I think they're releasing it in the US with the subtitles since probably americans who read the book who wanted to see the movie want to be able to understand, it's probably not all hollywood's fault, the people who had the rights to this movie let Hollywood buy it, anything for money these days :/ I'm an American, and i agree that it is stupid, but i wish i could understand the movie x_x

Det sa jag inte. Oavsett om skattepengarna kom från Sverige eller Danmark måste det ju vara fel? Statsstöd till film skulle man ju ge till nationellt intressanta verk i så fall som filmatiseringar på Selma Lagerlöf eller Strindberg. Inte för att jag skulle gå och se en sån film heller men då skulle det i alla fall vara logiskt.

I don't get why Hollywood has to monopolize everything in the movie industry. This book is Swedish, and so has to be the book... the style is completely different, and I don't think Hollywood would doit the way it should be done...

For me, it's disrespectful to do a second version so shortly after the first, as if they considered a swedish movie is not good enough and has to be done the american way. In my opinion, Sweden and Swedish are a thousand times better than anything american anyway. And they probably forgot that the original book was written in Swedish as well..

AmelieSparrow : i live in a rather small town in France, and i went to see it in Swedish, with french subtitles. (I hate when foreign movies are in the french version, they are so lame then!) This was a real pleasure, swedish sounded very nice to me, and it was almost one month ago. I'm surprised there aren't any english subtitles where you are!
