Litle Joe Cook is alive and well and living outside of Boston. I just called him and he remembers some confussion about this a few years back. I'm sure he would have loved to meet Chris Farlowe. "What a recording those 2 would make". He's now 86 and still performing a few times a week. "Real Nice Guy" who has been in the music bussiness sence the early 40's "He has some Great Stories"
There is another story he tells that was in that tv blues documentary that someone came up to him and said you are not chris farlowe chris farlowe is black.
I'm embarrased to say I haven't heard him until recently. I feel like I've missed quite a lot and hope to fill that void. This cat can wail. Wow. He makes the rest sound like immatators. And not good ones either
Thanks so much for posting this. Great memories of early mornings at The Flamingo and punch-ups in The Scene, just off Gt Windmill St! Still got my original Sue vinyl.
Little Joe Cook, lol! I had an LP in the late 60s "Here comes some soul from Otis Redding and Little Joe Curtis" Litle Joe was reputed to be, and certainly sounded like, Chris Farlowe!! I have just been trawling Google, and other than that album, i cant find any info on litle joe. Chris still has a great voice tho!
Soul has no color. If you think it does, you're the worst kind of bigot.

Great voice. Chris never was known for his looks, but now he looks like Regis Philbin.

Is that Albert Lee playing with him?

Sure looks like him, cheeky smile and the same runs (IMHO)... (but where's the Telecaster?)

Gibsons are more suited to that old folk blues sound, aren't they?

Albert Lee is playing his Music Man signature model guitar, made to his specs just for him.
