  • "you grabed power"!!!!! "and with that power!!! we've made a world were no eight year old boy will ever lose his parents because of some punk with a gun" "you win" these were the most powerful statements ever made by batman. I have to say this is the best animated show I have ever seen. They should really get back to doing this show again at least it dealt with real life situations, you are never to old to watch cartoons hell I'm 32 and I still love watching this stuff batman rules!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You lack the will Batman, The Will To Act..........

  • I don't really get this argument. Even the regular Batman is still a violently fascist psychopath. Just because he's not AS fascist as Justice Lord Batman, that makes him okay? I love Batman, but he really has no place arguing against fascism.

  • @BatmanOneOhOne amanda waller did argue about that point later on. didn't she's but good point never the less. too bad cartoons in cartoon network are too focused on a specific age bracket. i never new how deep this cartoon can get on some times

  • Batman vs. Batman? Batman wins.

  • I once fought Batman, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @cwooddirector don't you mean a batarang?

  • Yo dawg i herd you like batman...

  • the only person who can defeat batman is batman himself.

  • Only Batman can talk Batman out of fighting Batman.

  • As they say,

"Freedom or Peace: you can't have both."

  • @GreatFox42 well actually peace and security starts within with ourselves

  • @25NGL And humans aren't willing to start them there.

  • This fight was rigged. No matter what, Batman wins.

  • @cpolinsky It wasn't rigged. Batman was going to win, regardless, BECAUSE HE'S THE GODDAMN BATMAN.

  • @suss2t who are they?bruce and terry? terry and dick? bruce and dick?

  • @TheYoungSolidSnake Bruce and Bruce

  • it would be cool if they added the silver batman suit in batman arkham city

  • I love how this was a battle of morals, rather than a physical altercation, as was with the rest of the justice league members. Scenes like this show why batman is the greatest hero in comics. His only power is his dedication to the preservation of life and joy, an emotion he hasn't felt since he was eight years old. Batman for life.

  • @mannymatrixofwar2

he has felt joy, at least in this incarnation. It's often said of comic batman that Bruce Wayne is the mask and batman his real identity, but it's not so true in this cartoon. He does became more emotionless over time, but he cares for robin and alfred and all his comrades, and has loved women. He's made and laughed at jokes. Bruce Wayne in this is less of a playboy and more of a philanthropist and businessman than in say, Batman Begins.

  • @JustThink00 Yeah, but i think he hasn't felt genuine happiness because his very existence is driven by misery. Bruce Wayne became batman to escape his pain, but by becoming the bat has allowed his pain to take over his identity.

  • @mannymatrixofwar2

well, I may not actually understand "genuine happiness" as you do, because...well, I'm a bit similar to batman in that regard. I've felt joy in many ways, but there is always a sadness there. Never unmitigated joy. I've not explored the uppermost realms of the emotional spectrum since I was very young. If that's what you mean, perhaps you are right.

  • I knew he'd win

  • @kungfuman94 Always bet on the Bat.

  • @kungfuman94 Who?

  • Why the fudge is his shoulders so big

  • @BonzerMrT because he's the goddamn batman

  • don't you hate it when one of the top comments is outdated?

  • 8 people missed the like button

  • 0:09 The burst out of the music is amazing, batman vs batman clashing for the first time in combat

  • If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there an episode from The adventures of Batman where he versus himself but its a cyborg of some sort?

  • @UchihaBroman I seen that episode. I miss the old days!

  • Although i do dig Justice Lord Batman's costume.

  • Some time ago. I made a comment that I was proud of. Today I come bearing apologies.. I knew not what I spoke. I have brought myself great shame, and have brought you great shame.

  • batception? cause batman can never lose

  • "We've made a world where no eight year-old boy will ever lose his parents because of some punk with a gun!"

The best line! It really shows the batman from that universe reasoning for everything he's done

  • is the other batman nightwing or the new robin

  • @blackoutxrauv i just watched the episode so don't answer that.

  • Doomsday Ftw he pwn all

  • @SylenceNight Damn strait, I pitty the foo who takes on that beast.

  • I love this scene especially the line: "We've made a world where no eight year-old boy will ever lose his parents because of some punk with a gun!"

  • somehow, someway, this is a one sided fight...

  • Why are there 2 batmen here?

  • so batman won against batman?! its like the battle between chuck norris and chuck norris, who would the winner be? chuck norris! :3

  • my money is on the goddamn Batman

  • This conflict is pretty much what goes through my head whenever the issue of democracy vs authoritarianism comes up. Words and all.

Thanks for summing it up for everyone Batman!

  • Kevin Conroy will always be THE Dark Knight. I just want to repeat 1:16 over and over. Such an epic scream.

  • I wish we could have one Batman in the real world

  • You can't argue with or win against the bat !! Unless he lets you that is... After all "the system doesn't need stitches or a cure" it only needs THE WORLDS FINEST !!

  • Thank you for not adding music.

  • Wow I almost had a mental breakdown from the awesomeness of Kevin Conroy arguing with himself.

  • 'We've made a world where no 8 year old boy would ever lose his parents..because of some punk with a gun.'

  • @I3leed4959 Someone literally just said that quote two comments from yours. Thank you, Captain Redundant.

  • @xaayer You're welcome, Captain Obvious.

  • @I3leed4959 Wow, I had no idea that Captain Sarcasm shared an account with you...

  • Proves that your worst enemy is yourself :P

  • "We've made a world where no 8 year old boy will ever lose his parents to some punk with a gun" a very epic line probs one of the best in the DCAU

  • kevin conroy must be very tired after this recording

  • Looky here, Batman won.

  • Seriously... 1:16 that is why Batman always has been and always will be my favorite hero. He turned the pain and grief into something constructive, striving so that no one else would have to feel the same pain and loss. Why can't there be a real life Batman?

  • Who would win in a fight between Batman and Batman? The answer is B'wana beast.

  • Just for me to replay ^^ 1:16

  • I'll bet everyone 20 bucks that batman wins!

  • @DarthOliptius lol thats a sure bet

  • It's such a beautiful dark scene, a psychological battle where Batman tells Batman what he knows but doesn't want to admit. Well crafted by the creators of this show.

  • i have to say i think i like the justice lord batman's costume more

  • this has to be one of the most emotional scenes in the whole justice league series

  • @sportsband nah, its the part where superman gives up dreams to comeback to reality.

  • THIS IS THE ONLY YOUTUBE VIDEO WITH NO FUCKING DISLIKES

  • @primoptimus now i bet someone is just going to press the dislike button to be a douche

  • @primoptimus was. and that isnt true. Ive seen others

  • @xaayer WHAT. THE. FUCK.

  • @primoptimus I didnt press it. I liked it. But there are other videos without dislikes.

  • @primoptimus damn you jinxed it now it has 2 i just checked

  • @primoptimus u had to jinx it XD

  • @primoptimus yeah but 5 idiots just fucked that, and i am not comenting for thums up

  • @primoptimus after that comment it got 5 dislikes lawl

  • @sheld512 Well that's what happens - somebody comments that a video has no dislikes, and what are "cyber-rebels" going to do? Dislike it for the hell of it!

  • @primoptimus Check again. :(

  • @primoptimus WHY DID YOU FUCKING OPEN YOUR MOUTH?!!??!

  • @primoptimus you ruined it xD!

  • @primoptimus

You spoke too soon. 7 pricks out there are Aquaman fans.

  • @primoptimus 7 so far

  • @primoptimus actually, now it has 8

  • @primoptimus some trolls got here

  • @primoptimus You jinxed it lol :D

  • @primoptimus you jinxd it you jerk!

  • @primoptimus thanks for jinxing it asshole

  • @primoptimus great you tempted them

  • i wonder if they can threaten each other with their own "tactics"?

  • League Batman ends up telling Lord Batman "Mother and father would be so proud." Lord Batman pauses and joins the League with predictable results.

  • I don't care who you are.

If that last line can get to Batman, it can get to anyone.

  • If Batman fought Batman, who would win?

    Batman.

  • @Dzumeister ya which batman the jleague batman or the jlords batman

  • @Dzumeister I thought it was going to be Batman also, but in the end it was actually Batman who wins :P

  • @Dzumeister actually neither of thm could win nor lose because they both know what the other one is gonna do

  • @redsoxxx1234 you may notice one of them was injured.

it's not like every action we take is completely planned out or like we're so simple that we'd always do the same thing every time.

  • @Dzumeister Chuck Norris.

  • 1:20 to 1:35 is the best and saddest part.

  • The reason he won ther argument was because that was all Batman ever fought for. He didn't try to avenge his aprents as much as he tried to save anyone from the same pain he underwent.

  • Only Batman can break Batman stop with the other bullshit...though Batman will break anyone else.

  • Notice here: Batman is fueled by an unbreakable will. No matter how many times you hit him he won't stop. The only way to stop him is to make him give up. And the only person who can change his mind is himself. So he is virtually unstoppable.

If Batman and Chuck Norris ever glare at each other.....

  • @TheZacula How can he glare at himself?

  • @valiare1947 Because he's Batman. Or he's using a mirror, or there is an alternate reality version like here.

  • this is how bad ass batman is, kids check for monster in their closet monsters check for chuck noris i their closet and chuck noris checks for batman in his closet

  • I remember watching the featurette on this part, Kevin Conroy was basically talking to himself in the sound booth. It was pretty funny to watch.

  • @Ben1977820 Do you know where I can watch that?

  • Thumbs up if you want to see Lord Batman in a comic mini series; since the other 6 members are in jail, Lord Batman gets a totalitarian rule over his Earth all by himself.

  • @altoPR sounds like something his son would do.

  • @fawfulmark2 I'd doubt that he'll have a kid with Talia in here. Ra's and Talia probably got lobotomized too.

Also, this universe needs to be a part of the 52, not just Earth-12.

  • waIT WAT HAPPENS AFTER BATMAN SAYS "U WIN

  • the music fits so well in the opening

  • I think Batman Can Take This Guy No Problem, Bada Bing!

  • Since they're the Justice Lords, wouldn't you call him Lord Batman?

  • its bat vs owlman not vs bat

  • @shinyscizormence this isnt owl man , owl man is the one from that other stupid ass series wherr hes from a different planet

  • @inutaisho36 Owlman is Batman from Earth-3.

  • @shinyscizormence Nope, it is Batman - a Batman from another dimension

  • If batman, clint eastwood and chuck norris fought against one another the entire universe would implode!

  • The questions in this episodes make it great: do we want liberty or do we want security? Live in the eyes of the bright sun or the pale moon light? The sun is bright and blinding while the moon is soft and doeesn't give enough for anything to grow. Do we want to live blind or stunted?

  • @cheesetothepower To live blind is to believe we safe when we really are not and to live stunted is to never grow and learn from our mistakes. we can't be Blind and we can't be stunted,we must be both, in the middle. or else we will destroy ourselfs or be so corrupted that we can never return

  • i believe the killing joke is similar to this

in the killing joke it seems like, just like the joker, batman is insane, but deals with it a diffrent way, so in essence, there can be no negitive batman, you'd simply get the joker

and thats not to far off, while batman lerks in the shadows, stays annonimiss, and fights crime, the joker stays in the spot light, loves attention, and spreds anarchy

this negitive batman is not really negitive as much as what could of been

  • I miss the point Our batman made lateron, where he asked the justice lord batman if their parents would be proud of someone who sent people off to jail for complaigning about a bill or littering. The combination of these are moments are so incredibly strong,

  • Kevin Conroy yelling at Kevin Conroy? It's a miracle no one was killed!

  • My money's on Batman.

  • @ilovewarships true, but then again batman is bad ass, but batman IS batman... i guess my moneys on batman

  • Batman didnt give up to Grey Batman, he just did it to prove a point later. Watch the whole episode.

  • sure the only way to save the world is to become a facist, becoming the law as Lord Batman implies.

But League Batman's counter was just as epic, remember their both doing this because their parents died. After a old man is arrested for complaining about his food "they'd love it here don't you think? they'd be so proud of you"

  • Whoa. Batman gives up, too Batman. Cool episode!

  • What episode is this from???

  • @EmmanuelStudios A Better World part 2

  • both Batmen did make a lot of sense. Democracy has a lot of holes in it, but it still has its own posititves. I guess there must be a balance.

  • @GameLantern337 Winston Churchill once said "Democracy is the worst form of government. Except for all the other kinds"

    Pretty much sums it up.

  • @neviusprime There is absolutely no perfect government around today. All of them suck.

Too bad NOT having one sucks even more.

  • so this was a jl episode

  • batman does make a point

  • Just goes to show you that Batman's worst enemy is himself. Anyway Kevin Conroy is the best Dark Knight Ever

  • Kevin Conroy's skill at voice-acting is best shown here, I think.

Despite being the voice actor for both characters, he is still able to keep both Batmans separate individuals (listen for small tics between the two) and yet make a compelling argument.

Many, many thanks for uploading, one of, if not the best sequence from Justice League.

  • chilling moment on 1:22

  • I love this fight. Bats continues to show why he's the best even against himself he still find victory . By using his brain to defeat his enemies .

  • ...what tha hell? never saw this befo, what episode is this, any ideas?

  • "A better World" The way this episode haunted the Justice League in everything that came after it probably made it the best alternate reality storyline of any comic, cartoon, or movie. Bruce Timm really hit a grand slam with that one.

  • The real batmans wins because he knows the only way to have absolute safety is take away all freedoms and become the monster you hate.

That is what the facist batman did in order to bring safety.

  • Comment removed

  • SO cool how they made the other batman talk while the other ones on the camera. Makes it look like an inner dialogue rather than between two people. VERY cool!

  • @BlackySmiley That's a very good observation

  • Only Batman can pwn Batman

  • i like evil batman's costume

  • yeah its cool

  • 1:21 It always comes right back to that with him doesn't it? Justice League Bats can recognize in Justice Lords Bats that pain, which apparently manifested in a way that he has tried all his life to avoid. Bruce sees a version of himself that has thrown away his own self-restraint in favor of his need for total control, due to the same pain that drives him every single night. He has become a fascist, ironically what some already regarded him as before the change.

  • a dumb question but wat the hell: y does batman stop fighting?

  • Because in the next scence a man is getting arrested for hardly anything

League batman - they would love it here dont you thnk?

    Lord batman - who?

league batman - mum and dad...they d be so proud of you

Thats the moment the real Batman wins because he has much brain as he has brawn

  • oh kk thank you :)

  • @KHXFFKid

no probs i gotta admit when i first saw it i was like wtf is batman doing?

  • Why do you think? He has no answer. Lord Batman is right.

  • umm madandy2008 already awnered my question with a tad bit more info

  • In the end the Justice League Batman proved he was better at mind games than the Justice Lord Batman. Would been intresting though to have seen two finsh the physical fight to see who was better martial artist.

  • He wasn't better he was just dealt the better hand.

  • @roninshinobi

they're equal at both. League didn't trick Lord or break his mind, he just talked some sense into him in the same way that robin or someone would talk it into him if he strayed from the right path. He was uniquely suited to understanding how he could go the wrong way and so uniquely suited to talking some sense into himself. It is a strength of Lords batman rather than a weakness that he listened to reason.

  • @roninshinobi

Dude if they actually fought fought the world would explode

  • the end of that scene is so epic.

  • its even more epic afterwards when the actual batman persuades the justicelord batman to help them out ^^

  • Best. Mirror Match. Ever.

  • this scene proves that theres only one person in the entire dc realm that can make batman give up on his quest. that person is batman.........i dont care how much strength is in super mans punch or how much energy is in gl's ring. neither one of them break batmans spirit

  • @Bl1stson In fact, they say that if Batman has a superpower, it is an almost superhuman strength of will-- Batman once destroyed an army of Bat-clones created by Darkseid's scientists by using his own *memories* as weapons against them; the duplicates clawed their own eyes out, killing themselves because they couldn't handle the angst. The scientists even wonder themselves, what kind of a man can make weapons of his own memories.

  • @Bl1stson Many people have said that if there is one and only one superpower that Batman has, its a superhuman strength of will-- that no one, but absolutely no one can beat the Batman for sheer determination and force of will. Not Flash. Not Green Lantern. Not Wonder Woman. Not even the Man of Steel himself-- NO ONE.

  • @Bl1stson

*stereotypical comment about chuck norris not beating batman here*

  • @Bl1stson

if you saw the rest of this episode you would know it was a trick and that batman manipulated him back to the light side

  • @mrpickles1 i know. i was jus makin a general comment
