Yes an A fucking minus... The mom was going crazy saying to her daughter "This isn't why we came to America so you can get A-" those exact words ill never forget cuz everyone still reminds us of that day.

Kids are dependent on their parents in more ways than one. Children need to know that their parents love and accept them.

There are much better discipline methods out there that don't involve violence. Plus, there are some types of hitting that ARE a danger. There's a fine line between the two.

So, if people don't know the "circumstances" of a parent verbally abusing and threatening to take their child's meals in public, they shouldn't intervene? That's child abuse, plain and simple. She shared that with my dad and straight A's are barely enough. I got an A in precalculus but a C on my final test and you would have thought the world was going to end. It's ridiculous.

I can understand parents wanting their children to do well, but this is abuse. It's verbal, psychological, and bordering on physical abuse (that probably would have been the next step if this were a real situation). Too many people turn a blind eye to things like this. Kids are dependent on their parents in more ways than one. Children need to know that their parents love and accept them.

My parents very rarely even spanked me, and I NEVER screamed or ran around crazy. I knew the limits and obeyed them for the most part. There are much better discipline methods out there that don't involve violence. Plus, there are some types of hitting that ARE a danger. There's a fine line between the two.

Neither of us have ever been in a fight and we don't resort to violence when we want someone to listen to us. Hitting a child, someone so much smaller than you, is COWARDLY. And its done by parents who either don't have self control or who were hit by their parents and don't know any other way to discipline, out of ignorance. There are better ways to discipline a child.
