Personaly at the show I went the people that were acting like crazy (including me) where the only ones that actually still went totaly crazy on stuff from the Unraveling. Give us that, because the Unraveling was a amazing album. It's a shame they don't always play stuff from it. Best song of the night I went was by far Alive And Well. ^^ Oh well. I do like all albums anyway, although Appeal To Reason was kind of a letdown =/

@TheDancingForRain well, yea, the hardcore fans will know it but most everybody else would be like "wtf is this song" especially at a big festival like this. It's not really a well known album, compared to their other stuff, which is really popular. lots of bands don't play stuff from their early albums.

@EpsilonX Not the hardcore fans, I don't frequently listen hardcore. No, it's more the real fans that listen to it. Most people at the Rise Against gigs nowadays don't even know the lyrics from SATW / Siren Songs. They can sing along half of Savior and Hero Of War. lol. I'm not going to deny the Unraveling is less popular (A shame), but about lots of bands not playing stuff from their early albums. That's bull. Many bands first albums (the oldies) became classics. Metallica as best example.

And yea, Metallica's old albums are classics but a lot of bands ignore their first albums altogether. Muse never play anything from their first album, and after some upcoming performance are stopping playing anything from their second album too. A lot of bands just like the old material to be what it was when it was and move forward

@TheDancingForRain well, hardcore is a genre but it's also an adjective. i listen to hardcore music, but i'm not a hardcore hardcore fan. lololol. but yea, I understand why rise against don't play their early stuff cuz its more similar to hardcore punk, their newer stuff is more rock. I hate when bands stop playing early stuff, but I understand why. :-\ On the opposite end, Coheed and Cambria are touring and playing their entire debut currently, i wish i could see that.

Although endgame is a slight step back to punk. And well, I'm seeing 'Katatonia' this saturday, sadly they also barely play their old stuff (Death metal/black metal), but since it's their 25 year aniversary they're actually playing some.
