The "New Heavens" are referring to rulership by JESUS CHRIST and his associates in heaven, over the "New Earth", who are the blessed survivors of this tribulation. The "the islands and mountains will no longer be in the same place" part, I think you almost have right. If an earthquake is that monumentous it will destroy the core of all land built up by underwater volcanos, and the earths crust will shift, LITTERALLY moving and/or destroying mountains, land, volcanos, islands, carving new paths for water, and so on.. in addition to what you said. PLUS the pole shift and equator shift will create new weather systems of unimaginable concequences.

This video does a pretty good job of explaining how a "new earth" could be formed from the catastrophes you mentioned. My first question is.. can the formation of the "new heaven" be attributed to these catastrophes as well? if so, how?

Revelation was a prophetic dream from John, not Jesus. I believe you know that already though. I just want to say I agree with your beliefs, to a point, on this subject. I have looked at this prophecy in the same way as you have presented it here. However, I can't say that I am sure about it but just that it is the best idea I have come up with to date regarding this. Nibiru is still a conspiracy theory, in my book, which leaves this open to other astronmical events.

This "planet" you're talking about would be in orbit around the sun right? And we're in orbit around the sun too right? Because we're in differing orbital speeds and distances the sun could never block us from seeing this thing for long. Plus my telescope can see into deep space... to the outer edges of our galaxy, their not too expensive and anyone can buy one. My curiousity about our Universe complels me to look for the TRUTH not deranged fantasies about invisilble giant planets.
