I think he meant the track itself is high quality. Turver, as far as I can tell, is a Scandinavian surname. He was translating from his native tongue to English and got audio and track confused since they are both music related and all. So get off his fucking back. >:l
Shoegaze rock just takes you somewhere else, just unbeatable for sure. It gives this kind of effervescent, untouchable desire that can only be satisfied by more and more walls of pschedelia, haha...

listening to this makes me wonder about the term "shoegaze". i haven't heard a lot of bands from that genre yet but what i've heard so far was really very calm and fitting the word but this sounds more like somewhat usual, lively rock?
to me, that's not a bad thing, i like lots of rock styles, i'm just wondering about the terminology...
The British music press—particularly NME and Melody Maker—named this style shoegazing because the musicians in these bands stood relatively still during live performances in a detached, introspective, non-confrontational state, hence the idea that they were gazing at their shoes.[1] The heavy use of effects pedals also contributed to the image of performers looking down at their feet (shoegazing) during concerts.
I think My Bloody Valentine was 1 of the first to be known by the term
@ChesterAsucka you should give wikipedia at least credit ;P
i didn't know that though... when the term was first explained to me, the guy said it was about the audience being very still and introspective, not the performers.
Oh, I figured it was obvious that I got it from somewhere else.
I'm sure that the concert goers end up in the same state as the performers. When I listen to this stuff it takes me to another place entirely. We can call it shoegazing or whatever, but I believe music like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and Ladytron particularly, almost takes your mind away somewhere much further... leaving your body behind in an almost zombie-like trance. Kind of out there but that's how we like it
I see. Your probably right. No, it's good to know. I did say however that My Bloody Valentine was one of the first though, not THE first. I believe I read that somewhere on Pandora radio.
@Boudosaved lots of great music came from bands with the tags Grundge, shoegazers madchester or what ever. I think the manchester bands set the foundations for the early 90's with the help of a few other bands but grundge was just as importantant. P.S. I love the shoegazers aswell and when I say Manchester I don't mean Oasis ack.
have you seen the live version filmed at the ICA in November - its awesome! go to the channel for fiftyfirstfloorfilms - he is the guy that was filming on the night

Sadly, there are no other Chapterhouse songs similar to this. Mostly, Chapterhouse are shit, I think. This album was the only one by them that was any good.
Blissful exuberance that makes me happy, I've been head over heals for Shoegaze at the moment. whole movement really gifted us with cherised treasured material
i miss real music like this. The late eighties and early nineties produced some of the best alternative music bands ever. and Chapterhouse is one of them.
