My dad used a late 1940's GMC 2.5 ton in the 1980's. It was on its second engine, smaller than stock (I think an inline 6-cyl from a 1960's car), and could barely make it up the hill on the way back from hauling water from the local well... sometimes my mom would have to back up and give it a second try! Also remember watching the gravel road go by through holes in the floor... good memories! Hope your kids appreciate it.
