This newer model is actually a bit of a dissapointment compared to the older EP3 Civic Type R. Search for Top Gear's review of it where the renowned Jeremy clarkson compares it to the older model and you'll understand why.

Yes it looks gorgeous inside and out, but Honda actually missed a trick or two with this one.

i have seen that and he claims the newer one is slower and the suspension is not independent so handling is not as good. u cant judge it if you haven't road tested it yourself. i think he gets paid to talk for some instances. his reviews doesnt make any sense sometimes.

not everyone gets their information on cars from top gear, i happen to know that a torsion beam suspension is shit, and is used to cut costs.

the old car which i own, i know is better for its independant suspension.

how is it not a step back, surely a type R is a drivers car? I doubt the ppl who buy type R's for the driving experience care for the electronic options. in fact they'd be happier if it didnt have the options to aid weight saving.
