J'adore, je ne connaissais pas cette chanson, je l'ai écouté puis réécoutée avec beaucoup de plaisir. Pour ce qui est du style, je pense que c'est du Malhoune (un style typiquement marocain, parfois appelé aussi 9ssida pu 9assia) dont les écoles les plus connues sont celle de Meknès avec notamment feu Toulali ou encore l'école du Tafilalet

ummm well actually it's "tanjya", which is a traditionnal moroccan plate (in marrakesh). This fellow (like most moroccan jews) turns the "Z" sounds into "J", and the "S" sounds into "SH" sounds... Which explains the spelling here "tanzya" which is to be pronounced "tanjya" :)

Apres ce Cheikh, je viens de decouvrir un autre artiste magnifique Emile Zhiran apres que mon coeur es adopté les Maalem Salim Halali, Samy Moghribi, Lili Boniche, Lili Abassi et tant autres artistes de la chanson Judeo Arabe. Force est de reconnaitre le mérite de cette richesse ce qu'elle apporté à la musique algerienne et marocaine. Preservons ce patrimoine pour barrer la route à l'idotie et intolérance.

The singer is Algerian, However the song is sung in Moroccan.His accent is similar to the Fassi or Rbati accents. The old Algerian and Moroccan are very similar; todays Algerian dialect is a bit different,it perhaps is predominantly influenced by "3roubi" accent as it is the case in Morocco.

I've tried to order Cheikh Mwizo's 50'-long qasida :Ben Soussan" to no avail. They suggested Cheikh Zouzou's version. Would you have it. I've only got on a cassette tape, a 1980 recording in Greece.
