  • @TITOsbGANG you're wrong. some dust devils, tho rarely have been strong enough to rip off a roof.

  • thats pretty big

  • damn saw one this yesterday scared the living crap out of me lol

  • @jaybostein16. depending on the time of day; in Australia killer kangaroos tend to gather around hurricanes during sunrise and sunset in hope of finding homo-sapien lifeforms that decide to walk through it and have their flesh torn off. Seeing as this hurricane occurred during the middle of the day we were safe. this time

  • what the hell is this shit, its a dust devil not a hurricane, you idiot. No wait calling you an idiot would be an insult to all the stupid people. Why don't you slip into something more comfortable...like a coma.

  • @MrJiggerhater. I concur, Simon.

  • thats a dust devil and its going clockwisk ONLY in the southern part of the equator

  • AIRBENDER ALERT !

  • THATS A DUST DEVIL, NOT A HURRICANE. A HURRICANE IS WET, A DUST DEVIL IS DRY!

  • @muttonhead2001 Probably just joking no one is that dumb not even you apparently

  • @muttonhead2001 actually a hurricane is a storm system created my warm and cold depressions in the atmosphere, a tornado however is wet because its made of clouds, and a dust devil is made of dry soil, sand or anything dry....

  • @muttonhead2001 no shit

  • Dust devil ;)

  • OH CRAP THATS SCARY

  • That is so cool.

  • Comment removed

  • cool, myself being from Illinois, it is strange to see this dust devil spinnig clockwise. Of course all of these phenomena spin clockwise in the southern hemisphere. I am in the northern hemisphere where they spin counterclockwise. Occasionally we will have one that does spin clockwise. cool video

  • that is one fine anticyclonic dust devil!!!

  • wow!!! cool!!!!!!!

  • i love me a dust storm. not really dangerous at all.

  • omq okay!

  • No wodner asbopriginals call them willie willies. You would have been grabbing yours if it had headed your way. Excellent footage. Its like it stood still.

  • @matonmagic hahahahaha lol and rofl at the same time

  • i wanna jump in it XD

  • WOW LOL 5 stars

  • I've seen many of those in my life. But one sucked my trampoline up and threw it a mile away. Into an elementary school.

  • @KanesTemple I was just wondering if you wanted an old trampoline that flew into my school 3 months ago. I don't want it

  • Dude you are CRAAZY

  • If I'm in a hurry, my car can probably drive through anything. Dust devils, floods, tornados, meteors, alien death rays. Fuck it, I'm late for work.

  • @elkofdeath lol can i catch a ride with u?

  • @elkofdeath

    ROFL

  • ...well I call them Whirly Whirlies not Dust Devils (I got the sarcasm by the way) Gotta love the nthn burbs for kicking up the dust! Now I'm off to wash my car again...grrrr

  • Охренеть

  • i wil ask question if u go inside that do youd think you will fly up ro just bounce on it

  • i'd get sucked into the next dimension

  • @JiggerHogger explode and then go into a relm were every thing is in 4d and every one speaks in the 4th person

  • @cow6911 i'd like that. i wonder how my man parts would look in 4d.....

  • if you do that nothing will happen

if it was super powerful(super rare) it could flip a car but ive never heard about it happening

  • @xxcurnuxx i actually put my hand in it for a second and it ripped it right off it was so powerful

  • ha ha ha nice come back dude! I new it was a dust devil!, no wall clowd!

  • very nice

  • so lucky to have seen that up close,i envy you!

  • Note that dust devil rotated clockwise; normal for southern hemisphere.

  • what a beautiful "Dust Devil" nice vid ^^

  • Weren't you at least a little bit tempted to stand in it? :)

  • of course! it was pretty hardcore though. could have been syringes n shit flying around in it, and stabbed me in the eye. or it could have picked me up and flown me away. to like, Tahiti

  • Too bad about the syringes...

    but Tahiti sounds nice.

  • Thats a nice hurricane, we get mini-hurricanes in Brisbane but they are all rain and hail.

  • shit. id be gettin that leica jigger outta there.

  • nah, she's tough as nails that one :)

  • Working out in the cotton fields when I was a little kid, there were some teeny tiny ones no bigger than a cat.., now those were cute.

  • Looks like a car went right into it

  • kwl thats the 2nd biggest dust devil av seen :)

  • thank you master of the obvious

  • That is amazing

  • i love nature

  • definitely a cat 5 hurricane it would anihalate katrina

  • hey what state was this in it looks like a tornado not a hurricane and its sunny out this is so fake

  • It says in the video description that its in Adelaide. Which is in the state of South Australia. And no its not fake, it was sunny. it was frikin 40 degrees celcius that day you dildo. all you have to do is turn up the sound and hear how windy it is. stupid americans

  • Comment removed

  • unfortunately it is the greater majority of silly americans that ruin it for the minority of smarter americans, like yourself.

  • thats a really cool vid. I could've guessed it was a hot day... these normally form when its really hot out. when its sunny like that the sun heats up the air at the surface of the ground and, like a tornado begins to spiral picking up dust and debris, creating the funnel. They are fun to play in but can be dangerous...americans aren't used to these super-hurricanes that wipe out cities.

  • Have you ever heard of something called a dust devil?

  • Have you ever heard of something called sarcasm?

  • I was replying to texter4life1998's comment. He doesn't seem to know about them. I know the videos is meant as a joke.

  • haha my bad. cheers

  • It is an impressive dust devil though, with an inflow jet.

  • Texter, you're a moron.

  • That's hurricane Burton! LOL!

  • My house was destroyed by Hurricane Burton. I remember when that dang dust cloud formed, I was doomed! LOL!

  • big time! i lost my dog, toto

  • When Burton touched down, I was completely shocked. I never have seen a hurricane drop out of the sky. Burton hit my hit and pick it up off it's foundation. I survived, but my house was quite as lucky.

  • OK, I just messed up my spelling BAD.

I meant: "Burton hit my house and picked it off it's foundation." And, my house wasn't quite as lucky.

this is bob; post him everywhere; he will soon rule youtube

  • I would have run and stood in the centre of it.

  • Proffessional surveyors, bullsh*t.

We would have called it off and gone to the pub.

Cereally, we have them on a few sites in South West QLD, where we are doing asbuilts for pipelines.

They can get very large, tho, I'm not sure I've seen one this big yet.

  • haha yea we're professional as! check out the 1200! yew

hows surveying in rural QLD? ive always thought it would be good to fuck off for a bit and earn some dosh

  • The 1200 is a bit fancier then the GPS crap we use. The asbuilts are only rough, within 50mm is good enough.

I love working in rural QLD, it is wicked, start at sun-up, stop for a cook up around lunch and piss off to the pub by 3.

Fully qualified, you should be able to pick up atleast $500 a day doing what I'm doing.

  • dude thats awesome! where are you based though? do u get to go back to Brisbane or anything?

  • I was based in Toowoomba, but, I moved to Perth, which is where the company I work for is based.

Because of the decent budgets, we get flown around, like FIFO.

Look for companies like Eastern Wells, Diversified Construction, Queensland Gas, etc, they all do pipeline construction. Easy money.

I'm just an assistant, but, the guys are generally really good to work with, regardless of company, they respect you if you aren't a jerk to them.

  • This is the best hurricane I've seen ever.

What was Burton rated? Category 5? LOL!

  • it was category 50,000 from where i was standing! haha

  • Did you blow away in the winds? lol

  • i dont think dust devils pick up anything though

  • They sure do ! they pick up dust, at least.

Looks like that one could pick up a tent, or even a poorly secured roof. Of course, its not stronger than a gale, so its not a tornado.

  • These madman!!!

  • Veeerrrryyy Violent Dust Devil, eh?

  • Perfeito!

  • WTF is that machine ?

  • Awesome awesome! very cool! :)

  • its a dust devil, and a damn big one too!

  • Really voilent and huge. Cool vid.

  • Thats cool

  • thats a dust devil and a big one too

  • I saw at least 30+ of these on the way up to Flinders Range at the end of march

  • that looked damn strong :O scary if your near it!! lol

  • sick dust devil, theres some rippers up north in South Australia :)

  • @BretagneShrew there's some sweet ones too over east in western australia!

  • sweeet!!

  • is that evan a dust devil its a freking tornadeo!!!! jigger add me i got some questens

  • i remember when i was in the 5th grade one was slightly bigger and it got windy and a huge tall dust devil formed in the middle and i ran inside of it and i had to go to the nurse cuz my eyes burned but it still was fun lmao

  • thats a tornado? Hahha funny man hahahaha X) hahahahahhaha I read it =)

  • will dust devil ever link up to the skies and becomes a tornado?

  • im no tornadologist, but i guess if the wind becomes strong enough.... why not!?

  • Becaue in order to qualify as a tornado it must connect with the base of a thunderstorm.

  • awesome! =]

  • nice spotting there sherlock holmes. now go read the other comments before posting! ta

  • that's a big ass dust devil

  • i wanna run into 1 but there are none in VA

  • clearly, if you read the description you would have noticed a slight sense of sarcasm. We all know its not a hurricane, I merely added that word for some comical value, its more a personal joke as we never see anything like this in South Australia. Unfortunately you seem to have a severe lack of humor. You keep on running into those dust devils buddy.

  • holy shit you got balls to stand their and vid that i would be like fuck that peace

  • that's a huge dust devil! i've seen little powerful ones but nothing that big. what happened to the white car that drove in or past it? couldn't see it come out the other side?!

  • haha yeah the car got torn up into little pieces. just jokes, but yea there was a road just behind it, but not far off at all! cheers

  • dont just stand their, run into it!

  • no, because then it would have sucked me up and taken me to the yellow brick road, just like in the wizard of oz. and I dont like the scary witch.

  • lol put holy water on here =P

  • if its a dust devil, does it have the same force as a tornado? what damage can that do to you?

  • a strong dust devil can knock a tree over. but don't worry, your house is safe :)

  • WOW its anticyclonic!!!

  • its the southern hemi down here, that why

  • yeh, our toilet flushes the other way round too.

  • Wow...that was...big. Never seen a dust devil THAT size. Nice shooting. ^-^

  • do you think im 8 I know thats a dust devil idiot

  • yes. you are 8. i love you too :)

  • I wish I could upvote that comment.
