one of the best splatter films ever and is any of John Waters' films on that nasty list cuz they have been subject to censorship problems and also do to his trasition to the mainstreem tends to get sued a lot when people who liked hairspray gaet offended when watching pink flamingos, girl touble, or more recently A dirty shame
Wow... seen a few of your reviews now and you're very well spoken and witty. I'm sure it's no easy task to give a film like "Don't Go in the Woods" an intellectual review, either lol.
but did anyone else laugh when he talked about killing the painter and then he flashes to a picture and says he steals the baby or is it just me being overtired?
Once again, I fully agree with you! I really enjoyed this one - and, yes, it IS reminiscent of "Bad Taste" - I'd never thought of that before! Got a copy a mere matter of months before it was given an official UK release and... yus,I liked it too! You've tempted me to give it a 2nd viewing now. thank you! =:0)
I enjoyed your review alot more than i enjoyed this film! I do think you were a little generous this time though, (good cinematography!?) I found it too much like watching someone elses home movie. An all to familiar feeling these days with the video generation. Looking forward to the next one!
maybe a bit ;0). When the filming was done 'non handheld' it was quite good and the shots were more often than not chosen quite nicely. I do to some extent make this comment in context of some of the other films where the picture is muddy looking and hard to see. If only they had a steadycam then the film would have looked much nicer
'acting so wooden it offer's the actors an effective camoflauge against their forrest background' haha quality review yet again. I enjoyed this one, as you said it delivers on the gore and avoids any real unpleasantness. Lot of fun.
I genuinely liked it for its utter sillyness. Sometimes a film just needs to deliver what you ask of it, in this case, a lot of blood and guts and a good few laughs (intentional or otherwise).
I loved Craigs body boobie trap particulary because the mechanism that revealed him took the time to pull the blanket that covered him off, in a completely seperate action, before he was dragged upright to scare the others. The wild mans attention to detail is obviously terrific.
does anyone know why the uk dvd release is missing its soundtrack almost completly?

There aren't any John Waters films on the list but I may do something on one of them at some point simply because I kinda like them too.

Thank you. Some films are harder than others to critique properly but this wasn't too bad. I kinda enjoyed it
