got a question....i installed SWG but when it gets to update it says it failed than says i need 5428MB space in C:\ProgramfilesStarwargalaxies but i do not get where i need to delete i have loads of space on my computer and stuff but it wont update! help pelase!

Open my computer and right click your drives to check their properties to see the pie chart of how much space you have available. you need 6 gb.

Also, this might be obvious, but make sure your comp doesnt have two drives.

What is your total space (included what you are using).

The best way to clear space is delte unused games, movies, and music. Go to your control panel to add/remove programs and remove them there...then delete things out of My documents that are over 1gb and not being used.

I love the aspect and how broad SWG was. I just wasn't use to the UI~ It wasn't as user friendly as WoW was and that was a pretty large drawback for me. I got over it and continued playing though- until the lag started setting in. One second I'd be cruisin around in my land speeder and then the next I was on the ground dead- And then the enemy suddenly appeared :\

Thats debatable. I don't lag on max graphics and running fraps as you see here. Other people complain constantly about lag.

I can say though that it performes better now then in the early days withall the rubber bandng, city lag, and vehicle lag.

Try logging in...they offer free moneths for veterans if you rememebr your log in info...worth a shot to give it a try. Just be sure to mess with you default controls to get the game feeling right

Costs less than a trip to the movies but you get it ALL month.

i have just downloaded the trial and it is downloading updates and not letting me play

When you download the trial you are really only downloading the "launchpad." The launchpad then downloads all the game files. So that is your actual download. It's a big game but well worth the wait.

It will definitely be there with all of its stuff.

Also if you played on a "low population" server you wil be able to transfer for free to a larger one on January 13th...so its a great time to get back into the game.

Its called a heroic instance. In any Massively Multiplayer Online RPG, you do content to gain xp, rewards, and items to improve your character and shape him/her into what you want.

This instance rewards victors with Tokens to use toward "heroic items" which further develop the characters skills.

The Captain also drops loot items to add to your arsenal

There's no penalty for death. Other players cant run up and kill you, noone can take your items from your house, etc.

You essentially load into a world and start exploring and adventuring. At the very least you will do quest, see cool things, earn some items and experience.

At its best you will fight in massive battles, learn how to build up your character's strengths, make good friends, and do things no solo game with an ending could ever give you.

You firrst pick a pilot faction and squadron. This means access to certain ships and missions. You work in space to build up your pilot level. As you do, you loot all kinds of parts and equipment.

Those parts can be salvaged by a Shipwright player, who Reverese engineers them and can upgrade them into awesome parts. These players also build ship chassis.

The higher you go in pilot level and content the more access you get to better stuff..like multip passenger ships and gunboats.

Its 15.99 a month to subscribe, you can have 2 characters per server.

For those still uncomfortable with paying to play..consider it costs 15.99 for 1 ticket to a movie that last only 2 hours. I can play 24/7 for 30 days on 15.99 a month..so its def worth the price.

they totally screwed this game up, i spent about 20 days playing time with a walkthrough becoming a jedi and i come on a few weeks ago and everything was changed

It's def a change...but not necassarily a bad one.

With the CU version of the game..eventually everyone would have unlocked Jedi...with a skill system that was ultimately unbalances..and no new content on top of it.

The latest version has plenty of new content, which in the case of Jedi makes a huge difference between a starter profession Jedi and a Jedi that someone has worked hard on.
