@DrmrGuy1979 Jeff Green and West were solid toward the end of the Playoffs. Glen Davis just fell in love with his jumper, and O'Neal had knee and hand(?) issues. The biggest reason they lost to Miami was because of KG choking, Rondo getting injured + not playing up to expectations, LeBron playing well

I dont hate the Heat at all, one of my favs. But other than the Big 3, Mike Miller and maybe Haslem and Chalmers, the team is not a contender. The Celtics had a very good starting line-up, and a good bench. I personally think that the Heat or Bulls will be the deepest team next year whenever the lockout ends

LeBron is such a powerhouse. I'd love to see Kobe vs LeBron and Shaq in 2010, but I'm pretty sure the Celtics are going to get past the Cavs and play the Lakers. I'm not game to make a prediction for Lakers/Celtics.

They're core is getting older, meaning a lot of them are over thirty, but really, the know-how that comes from being older will OFTEN work to a team's advantage. Look at the Bulls in their second three-peat- they were all getting on, but they knew what they were doing.

KG is still a powerhouse, Rasheed is still awesome, and so is Paul Pierce. Let's not forget Ray Allen- the man's a perimeter shooter- he could still dominate at 45 if he stayed practiced.

Don't discount the old guys just yet.

Man, no offense to the celtics, cuz they were a good team that year, but they were lucky to have home court advantage. They didn't win a road game until they faced the lakers. The lakers won road games, and they only had to go to one 7 games series when they won this year. But still, I do have some respect for the celtics as a team. I hope they meet again in the finals!

the soundtrack used when Pierce made the miracle free throw was also used for the Larry Bird Legends video cassette.  When I was a kid I used to dream that the Celtics would rise again and that that soundtrack would be used again for a new generation of Celtics. Yeah it sounds corny and ridiculous but I am happy to finally hear it after all these years!!
