@Onenasty306 I love it, my intertior is extremely comfortable, all my passengers even tell me, my shoe size is 12 to 13 and i find the pedals fine, I had it for about 2 years and rides great and no problems, the quality is nice, but i think it has gotten a lil cheaper not by much though
dude, looking at one in white or gray with the 18' jet black wheels. man these are nice and im guessing that the acceleration and handling are still ok with the front wheel drive, am i wrong on that one?
@TheBolzic Yeah I had mine for a little over a year not one problem and i feel it gets better gas mileage since its broken in I currently get 520 miles a tank
Hey dude, Nice vid. I'm thinking about getting one of these w/ 16k on it. I've heard of fuel issues w/ "dirty fuel". You know anything about these? Had any problems w/ yours? Would you recommend it? I appreciate your advice. Thanks.
@groovinit18 i would recommend it I've had it over a year and have like 25k miles on it because I drive a lot and still no problems mines diesel so it takes diesel fuel. I don't know what you mean by "dirty fuel"?If you clarify i can probably answer you better
@AlexanderIsFromBC yeah if its cold like below 30 up north, this was filmed in florida no worries there but when i had it in the snow up north you have to for sure
@bistekconpapas no problems yet, the cenetr console is standard but of you want gps its like 2000 more a total rip off, so i just bought the tomtom for like 100 - 200
@someredditor i see where your coming from, but the wheel package looks amazing and makes the car look more amazing, and the car came to the dealership like that, also a 2000$ gps is a rip off compared to wheels. etc
hows the roof rack work with the sunroof? lots of noise when open? Do you see a big difference in your mpg rate with it? what type of average are you getting?
@soleryder2 roof rack works fine i actually atatched a surf rack to it for my surfboards, the noises depens on how fast im going, and yeah i get like 35 city, and 52 hwy and i drive fast with it, but the onboard computer says i got about 28 mpg today.
@Sauron767 it was a authorized Volkswagen dealer, the diesel sport-wagon are hard to find i do not know how you would find them out of an authorized dealer.
any issues with it? like any problems, sounds, or mechanical problems? like i'm concerned about buying one and like i'm kinda scared of buying one that might be a lemon or something you know?
@Sauron767 no i've had it since november 09 no problems yet of any kind, i just save a shit load of money on gas it still rides super smooth even at high speeds, plus diesels are more reliable. mine came with a 5 year warranty for any mechanical or electrical problems too, but absolutely flawless performance so far for everything.
You were listening to Vinalla Twilight! I love Owl City lol and it must sound great in that car. Does the Sportwagen have an optional Dynaudio sound system like other VWs? I've heard it's like concert hall quality. Volkswagen definitely knows how to build a solid interior. Great video!
@joemccar524 i don't know about the audio, I think mines just stock 2010 but it sounds really really good. I cant imagine what it what sound like if i added anything to it.

@svenskakr4 thanks bro, car was mid high 20s, i traded in my truck for about 10k then i used a few thousand from my savings and the rest i financed to build my credit. but i plan on driving this car longer then it takes me to pay it off. also my car payment is cheaper then gas for my old truck each month, so it really pays for itself. Also stick ones are nice, but the auto tiptronic suits me fine i just throw it into tiptronic if i need acceleration, and im actually in FL.
You can find them at best buy or ebay. I'd go with the higher end ones because the cheaper ones dont always work, I think mines like 100$ on ebay" the passport something" and works for every radar even laser in a circle all around the car.
man, that's a nice sportwagon, the few I've seen are kinda "plain jane" your wheel package makes it...looking to get a jetta TDI in the near future..now I'm thinking wagon would be more useful for me esp if dressed up with those wheels...nice
thanx man, and yeah I know what you mean the other ones i've seen too don't have the wheels like that or tint. the tint ads a lot to it a long with the roof racks. and I actually use more space in the wagon and feel I have more space then in my truck i traded in. also i go 90 and its smooth as hell i dont even realize it.
how does that DSG shift? the videos I've seen seem pretty fast and smooth, but I've also read reviews where the DSG seemed "jerky" but then some people are a little picky/whiny too...LOL
Beautiful car man, I really do praise you for going diesel, I would in a heartbeat If I could, I guess I'll stick to my 1.8 Passat. Just wondering, was there a xenon light package avaliable or automatic climate control? All in all, nice car and I wish you the best of luck with it.
I give you 5 Stars for driving a Diesel ! I am really proud of clean-diesel users, rather than some piece of contemporary junks hybrid yucks ! People in the USA should really start driving diesels so that these cars can sell more in the US and save fuel and not buying hybrids...TDI rules.. cheers!
Just picked up my 2010 Golf TDI wagen 2 weeks ago, Canadian version, manual 6 speed. Drive normal and you can easily get 800-900km (~500mile) per tank and my first tank was mostly city driving. It's not going to beat a hybrid in town but on highway it's probably going to be pretty close. I haven't done any long highway road trip yet but will do a run down to Seattle soon. The FE of this TDI is better than my 06 Mini Cooper non S. Ride is a bit stiff, its German, so handling is not bad either.
I got the 17 inch wheel package, panoramic sunroof, black exterior cornsilk interior. Everything else pretty much came standard in the 2010s i.e, the touch screen radio, blacked out grille, I didn't get the nav system because it was extremely overpriced, and my 100$ tomtom does just fine. After I purchased the car I added all around tint, cross bars and thule roof racks.
I have not experienced any engine idling problems at all, though i do not know what summer diesel is, I use low sulfur diesel fuel only as the car recommends.
In the city my mpg is between 35 - 38, I just drove from south FL to Philadelphia though on two and 1/2 tanks of gas averaging around 48-55 mpg highway
WOW that is very impressive. Thanks for the response
There are 2 forms of diesel one is the regular, the other is the winterized version. The winterized versions is designed to keep the fuel from forming into a gel at low temperatures (0 F). So if you had no problems volkswagon did a good job designing everything.
Is the car quick-ish ? How responsive is the car if you handle it aggressively ?
Yes you can really feel the turbo kick, It is very responsive too, I've had it up to 80 handling fine, when I had it up to 100 I got too scared to really try anything.
Nice car man..to bad there is so much low emission crap on them to let them really show the mpgs. Im gonna stick with my older tdi until these are proven. Love that sunroof man wow.
Nice ride, the interior on the 10's are a bit different than the 09's. I have an 09 sedan tdi.. i got it in may and already have 13 k on it needless to say I love it.
yeah, I've had mine for almost to weeks and almost 1 k, It's the first car i've had thats extremely comfortable and I drive it maybe too much, so I know what you mean.
I love your wagen dude! And the beige interior is gorgeous, very good taste. That's my dream car right there :)

@TWSURFSNOW SO how do you like the TDI? i am thinking about getting a new one..
How is the comfort of interior..
i had a 2003 TDI 5 speed and my shoes were to big for the close pedals so i got rid of it.
the interior in my opinion seems to have gotten cheaper... no offense. compared to new focus and accords.
does it ride good as far as quality materials and all?
